Avocado Oil For Hair Growth

Avocado oil for hair has many uses and many benefits. The oil as you may have guessed comes from the fruit of the avocado itself. The oil has a sweet taste and a nutty aroma to it. Compared to other oils, avocado oil for hair is light and easily absorbed by the hair and the skin as well.

Some uses of avocado oil for hair included treating scalp issues such as thinning hair, dandruff or excessive hair loss. Due to its wonderful and beneficial properties avocado oil is a common ingredient in many hair care products. These days avocado oil is an ingredient in skin care products too. Here are some easy uses for avocado oil for hair.

Avocado oil has essential nutrients such as Vitamins A, D, E and B-6, which benefit hair growth and is excellent in treating dry hair. It also promotes overall hair health and works well on all types of hair as it has magnesium, copper and iron. Another benefit of avocado oil for hair is that is has natural sunscreen properties, which will protect your head from the harmful UVA and UVB rays from the sun. In addition, it has lecithin, which makes the oil easily absorbable.

To get your hair into a good condition use either the organic or pure avocado oil for hair. Both have the same properties and are available at your local pharmacy or grocery store. Once you buy avocado oil for hair you can immediately begin using it for masks, shampoos and conditioners too. You can also use it to massage the scalp or as a hot oil treatment. You will be pleasantly surprised with the results.

To use avocado oil for hair as a hot oil treatment, take one tablespoon of avocado oil and mix with one tablespoon of olive oil. Heat it to a warm but not hot temperature and with the tips of your fingers massage this blend into your scalp. Any access oil is then applied to your strands. Continue to massage your scalp in a circular motion for 15 minutes. This will help the oil penetrate the shaft and increase the blood circulation around the roots. Thereafter apply a warm towel to the hair and leave it on for 10 minutes. Use a clothes dryer to warm the towel or soak it in warm water. Remember to rinse the towel though before wrapping it around your head. Shampoo and dry as you normally would.

To make a quick and simple avocado oil for hair mask mix together one tablespoon of avocado oil, one tablespoon of olive oil, a half tablespoon of honey and one egg white. Apply this mask to wet but clean hair. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then shampoo and dry as you normally would. For dry and severely damaged hair combine avocado oil and mayonnaise. In one half cup of mayonnaise mix three tablespoons of avocado oil. Mix well and apply it to your hair. Wash the mask out after twenty minutes.

Really, avocado oil for hair growth, does it really work? Maybe I need to stop using rogaine and go to this cheaper alternative :)
