Reebok BootCamp DVD - A Review
Reebok BootCamp workout DVD is, by far, one of my favourites. I have used this DVD in my home for over a year now and is one that I often go back to . Tanja Djelevic is an exceptional instructor who is genuine and calm yet pushes for your best.
I like this DVD because it is organized into 7 'express' workouts and gives you the option to customize each workout that you do. I have not found this feature with any other workout DVDs. How this works is that you would choose from 4 combos and then add on the Abs combo. You select which combos you want with your remote and it will play them back in the order in which you selected them. This way, you can change them around and not get bored. For example, you could do;
Monday - Combos 1, 2, 3, 4, Abs.
Tuesday - Combos 1, 3, 4, 2
Wednesday - Combos 4, 3, 1, Abs
Thursday - Combos 3, 1, 2, 4
Friday - Combos 2, Abs, 4, 1, 3
Saturday - Combos 4, 1, Abs, 3, 2
Sunday - Rest
The formula for the workouts is interval training - alternating cardio and strength training. This promises to burn more calories and fat per session than either would on its' own.
On top of that, there are two other workouts included on this DVD; BootCamp Express and a Bonus workout - BootCamp Full Body Blast. Both are short, focused workouts designed for days when you don't have a lot of time (both are under 15 minutes) but you still want to squeeze in a great workout. The moves will get your heart pumping and your muscles burning. But that is great because it means your body is being challenged, is working, and is burning calories! I also like that most of the moves are low impact. There are a few with jumping but those can be modified.
I no longer believe that I have to workout at the gym for 45 minutes to an hour - or longer - to get results. If I use quality workouts, like this one, I can still get great results but in less time. Less time spent working out means that I have less of an excuse not to do it. I find that I am less likely to skip a workout if I know I can do only 15 minutes of interval training and stay on track with my weight loss goals.
I would recommend this DVD to anyone wanting a challenging workout. I have gotten great results using this BootCamp workout.
