If you don´t have time to go home and cook dinner, baking chicken breast in the oven is one of the fastest dinners you can prepare.You can marinate the chicken the evening before and keep it in the fridge, and then just bake it in the oven whenever you wish to eat.You can also use beef and pork in the same way.

When it comes to baking chicken breast, you will need to tend to them once in a while.Many people find it very difficult to determine when the chicken is cooked. It is common knowledge that chicken must be thoroughly cooked to be safe to eat and to know when it is cooked through you simply place a thermometer in the thickest part of the meat and it will alert you when it has reached the correct internal temperature.

The USDA food safety and inspection service recommends cooking a whole chicken to safe minimum internal temperature of 165 F by using a food thermometer.Eating uncooked chicken can cause salmonella so it is a good idea to cook the meat properly.

Here are a few delicious and simple chicken recipes you can try.

Recipe 1: Baked Chicken Breast With Sour Cream

The chicken needs to marinate in the fridge over night so if you are in a hurry, you can try the other recipe.This recipe serves 4 people.


6 to 8 skinless and boneless chicken breasts
2 cups of sour cream
1/2 cup of lime juice (you can also use lemon juice)
1/2 cup of melted butter
1 table spoon of Worcestershire sauce
2 cups of dry bread crumbs
2 teaspoons of paprika powder
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper
3 teaspoons of salt


Dry the chicken as well as you can to get all the moisture out.Take a separate bowl and stir together all the other ingredients.Place the chicken in the bowl with the marinade, turn the chicken around a bit so the meat is coated properly.Cover the bowl with cling film and leave it to marinate in the fridge overnight.

When baking your chicken breast, first preheat the oven to 350F while you make the last preparations. Take a large baking pan and place the chicken in the pan in one layer.

Cover the top with the dry bread crumbs and drizzle the melted butter over the the chicken.Allow the chicken to be cooked through, bake it for one hour until it is golden brown and has a tender texture.Serve the chicken warm with a nice salad.

Recipe 2: Baked Chicken Breast With Herbs

This recipe is a lot quicker to make than the previous, you will need about one hour for preparation and cooking.This recipe serves 4 people.


1 pound of chicken breast
2 table spoons of extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup of lime juice (or lemon)
2 table spoons of basil leaves (dried)
6 table spoons of cheap white wine
2 table spoons of tarragon leaves (dried)
1/2 table spoon of red pepper flakes , or crushed.


Preheat your oven to 350F.Pound the chicken breast lightly to make them flat through 2 sheets of wax paper.Coat them with the olive oil and place them in a large baking dish.Next, add the rest of your ingredients and turn the meat around a bit to ensure it is properly coated.

Cover the dish with a piece of aluminum foil and place it in the oven for about 35 minutes until it is cooked.Serve warm with a salad.
