The Bakugan Battle Brawlers game officially debuts for almost every video game system imaginable in October 2009. The game follows a similar storyline as the hit anime series from Japan and the Cartoon Network in the United States. On the TV show, the adventuresome Dan and his friends discovered strange cards that fell from the sky, so they began collecting them wherever they found them. They soon discovered these cards were more than just a game, and had magical powers. Now they must attempt to save the planet of Vestroia and Earth from impending destruction, by unleashing their Battle Brawlers to do battle.

The exciting new Bakugan Battle Brawlers video game plays out a lot like the popular, real-life strategy game using a battle arena, cards and marble spheres. All of the popular characters from the anime series are represented in the game, and it includes a full story mode. Players roll their spheres towards one of the Arena cards, trying to get their sphere to land right on the card. If the sphere happens to land on the card, it springs into action as one of the mighty Bakugan monsters, ready to do battle. Once two of these creatures have landed on the same card, a battle will take place and whichever player is holding the most points determined by various cards wins.

The video game adds a few new twists to the traditional real-life card game. One of the toughest parts of the card game is having the precision to get your spheres onto the cards, but in the video game, players can move their spheres around as they roll across the battlefield. While doing this, players can snatch up various powerups, traps, and bonuses that are scattered around the playing area. Also, in the video game there are quick, competitive mini-games that take place to help players raise extra points for battles. For example on the Bakugan Battle Brawlers video game for Wii there is "shake the remote the fastest" contest or "shoot the symbols" contest. These extra games can give losing players a sort of "last chance" to overcome their opponent should the scores be close.

Another nice additional feature that many of today's newer video games feature is the ability to create your own customizable character. This character will befriend a brand new Bakugan named Leonidas who is exclusive to the video game. The duo becomes partners to venture through the game. During the game, players will get the chance to power up their levels, and buy various gear including new clothes for their characters. While the game operates under the action genre of video games, it also incorporates strategy and RPG aspects as well. The Bakugan video game title looks to be a visually stimulating and entertaining translation of the hit anime series. It's sure to be a big hit amongst the fans of the show, and will likely induct many loyal new Bakugan Battle Brawlers around the world!

The Bakugan Battle Brawlers video game release date will be October 20, 2009. The game, made by Activision, will be available for the Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii, Sony PlayStation 2, and the Sony PlayStation 3.
