Sometimes circumstances in our lives affect our weight in an enormous way. Taking care of our physical, as well as our emotional problems can make it easier to be healthy and lose weight. Giving natural herbs a shot can sometimes give us a jump start on losing weight.

Dealing with stress can feel like a never ending battle. Licorice root can give you some relief when you're stressed out and need a natural way to calm down. Try it in tea form or capsules. Hawthorne berries can help with strengthening your heart and is really good for heart palpitations.
A couple of other natural herbs which are well known are Valerian and chamomile. Chamomile can be especially good for an upset stomach. You can even give chamomile to an infant that has colic in a diluted form. That's how gentle chamomile is.

Being depressed is a frustrating state to be in. A well known herb for use when you have depression is St. John's Wort. St. John's Wort has been one of the most effective ways to help relieve depression symptoms in the herbal world for a long time. Good nutrition is also important concerning depression. When buying St. John's Wort, like with most herbs, buy a brand that is known for its quality of herbal products.

We all suffer from the common cold now and then. We constantly come in contact with germs. It's recommended especially during cold season, to use Echinacea. Echinacea builds the immune system and is even safe for a child. You can buy it in liquid, capsule or tea form. This herb should be taken in an on/off fashion because your body builds a resistance to it. You should take it for two weeks and go off it for two weeks to maintain health.

Garlic has been the number one natural remedy for high blood pressure. Fortunately, you don't have to eat fresh garlic constantly. You can use garlic capsules to get the same effect as eating it fresh. It is recommended using it in cooking as much as possible though.
If you're upset easily and have high blood pressure, you may want to consider using Valerian root or passion flower as well. These are calming herbs and you can get them in tea form.

Balancing your life with herbs, can make a big difference and help you alleviate the stress life brings your way. Nature has a way of helping our bodies in a gentler way then chemicals do.
