Nice rundown of some of the advantages to refinishing rather than replacing that old tub. In my first home that I renovated I chose to refinish the tub rather than replace. The tube just had a great vintage look that no new tub could come close to matching. A local painter resurfaced it with little to no fuss. Saved me money and time. New isn't always better or the way to go.
