None of the mechanics are out of date, they have undergone a lot of transformation. Within the range there are many individual tops to select from and each one has a different name and roles to play.

One player is designed to consist of attacking skills and the other one with defense skills. To start the game with the Battle Strikers, you attach your striker to the launcher. This is easily done,as there are magnets on each of the pieces and they just attract and stick to each other. To get the striker player full launch speed, just press the trigger on the launcher and once it is ready, you will bash the top to send it off into battle.

You have to play the game by launching the tops into the battle arena which is made of plastic with raised edges in the game set. Once you commence the battle, the whole process is controlled by a finger tip process which has been magnetized to direct your striker all over the battlefield.

The battle strikers tournament set does have many customization options as well as a battling game. Each striker has slight differences in the way they are made up, so long as it consists of a part, it makes no difference which part they use in the battle.

The whole idea is to mix and match their body parts so that you can create new and different versions of them. By experimenting with different parts in handling the strikers, you as the controller will be able to build a very powerful top that can thrash an opposition without any difficulty.
