If you've had a hard time decorating your bay windows, read on because we'll discuss ways to get the job finished right.
Bay window treatments can be very difficult for anyone new to interior decorating. With all those windows, it can be overwhelming to think about an appropriate solution. When doing your window treatments, you don't want to over-do the curtains and valances, which can hard not to do with bay windows. Well, number one, the easiest way to get started with your bay window treatment is to get the proper hardware up and running. While many people like to treat their bay windows as three separate windows, it is in fact easier to treat them as "one". To do this, mount a curved rail the follows from one end to the other up above the windows. Once you have the track installed, you have a lot more options available to you in terms of decorating.
When getting the curved track installed, you can choose between single and double runner designs. A double runner will enable you to have multiple layers of curtain which can give you more design possibilities. For example, you utilize a single primary color for the foreground and use silk patterned cloth for the back. Both of these combined can give your decorations a beautiful "pop" to them.
Combined with the runners, window shutters and shades can also be used for the perfect window treatment. Shades can be used to traffic the light into the room for optimum brightness. If your room happens to be in a part of the house that can be overwhelmingly bright during certain parts of the day, shades or shutters can be used to adjust the available light to make you more comfortable.
Regardless of how you choose to approach the window treatment for your bay windows, make sure you have a lot of fun doing it. Interior decorating should not be considered a chore but instead be something where you can express who you are as a person. Go all out and do it with a smile!
