Be Aware Of Your Wedding Budget- Set It And Live By It

When planning your wedding, you need to keep a close eye on your budget. All brides need to create a budget, no matter your financial standing. Wedding budgets can help make the wedding planning process go smoothly. It can save you a lot of time stressing out and the sticker shock of it all. Weddings are expensive, and knowing where your money goes is crucial.
First things first, is sit down with your significant other and any other people contributing to the cost of the wedding. Even if one party is paying for just one item, you still should have a clear consensus of what they are actually going to spend.
Once you have the set amount that you can spend, you can start to break it down. You should create a list of all the possible expenses and what you can spend on each category. If you have $1,000 set to the wedding gown budget, do not exceed it. You do not necessarily have to stay below the budget, but do not go over. If you do there will be consequences to the rest of your budget. Other item's budgets will decrease and you will have less money to devote to other things. There is a budget for a reason. Wedding budgets are not guidelines, take them as rules!
The biggest expenses that you should budget for are: the ceremony and reception venue, the cost of dinner, the wedding dress and tuxedo, transportation, flowers, cake, decorations and photography. Unfortunately, there are a lot more expenses that go into a wedding then just the above stated.
Here is a list of items you may want to think about when creating the entire budget.
Flowers (Bouquets-Bride and Bridesmaids, Boutonnieres-Groom and Groomsmen, Ceremony, Reception)
Church Cost or Ceremony Site Fees
Reception Site Fees
Bride's Hair and Makeup
Wedding Gown
Groom's Tuxedo
Wedding Rings
Limousine Rental Fees
Wedding Cake
Caterer
Photographer and Pictures
Reception DJ or Band
Honeymoon Cost (Airfare, Hotel, Transportation, Food)
Remember this list is a general wedding budget guide. You can add and take away as many things as you want to make it a wedding of your own.
No matter what, be true to yourself and find a wedding budget that fits. You do not want to be stressing out about your wedding day before it even happens. It will be a lot more of a joyous and stress free occasion if you can follow your personally set wedding budget.
