Beautiful Beaches in India

As we all know, India is a vast country and it is home of tourist attractions, sightseeing, and historical and religion places that attract millions of overseas tourists every year. Gokarna, Kerala and Goa are the favored destinations for beach lovers. Here, tourist gets opportunity to view spectacular sight with miles of unblemished shiny sand, fresh water and swaying palm trees. Adventure water sports are also major attractions of these beaches. Goa, Kerala and Gokarna are the popular destination for a beach holidays in India that attracts the beach lovers from all over the globe.

Goa Beaches

Goa Beaches are the most developed beaches in the world. As Goa is a place that attracts youngsters from all over the world. If you want busy beach then North Goa beaches are there where as South Goa beaches are less busy where you find peace-seeking travelers. Here, families tend to head to the deckchairs in Calangute and Baga, while the party crowd hangs out around Vagator. In North Goa, Mandrem and Asvem are the two beaches with quieter and less deck-chaired attributes. Arambol in the very northern tip of Goa is a favorite with travelers who are happy to spend months lying in a hammock.

Colva and Benaulim are two famous beaches of South Goa where you will find many overseas tourists enjoying great time with their family members. Palolem Beach is also one of the South Goa beach with shiny sand and heavenly environs. The film "The Bourne Supremacy" in 2004 revealed the beauty of South Goa beaches. Dona Paula Beach is also in the top hot list of beautiful beaches of Goa where you will get chance to view lovely scenery scattered with palm trees and casuarinas groves.

Gokarna Beaches

Gokarna is a sleepy little village and pilgrimage destination on Karnataka's coast. It is located on the South of Goa Border which is very easy to reach from Goa. It is popular for its beaches and when tourists got huge rush at Goa beaches they turn towards Gokarna beach where they can enjoy their beach holidays in India. Kudle, Om, Half-Moon and Paradise are the favored beaches of Gokarna among the backpackers and long-term travelers. These are the cheaper and quieter then beaches in Goa. Bamboo huts and mud huts are generally used as mean of accommodation at Gokarna beaches.

Kerala Beaches

Apart from Goa and Gokarna, Kerala is another beach destination in India. Kerala offers tropical palm-fringed beaches, great seafood, Ayurvedic massages and spas, and lot of things to do outside the beaches. Western Ghats of Kerala are famous for its wildlife parks, spice plantations, traditional Kathakali dances and beautiful backwaters where you can enjoy boat trips. Kovalam is Kerala's busiest and most Westernized beach resort that attracts overseas tourist from all over the world. For quiet beach, Varkala is there located at the northern Kerala coast. Kerala beaches always attract more visitors than Goa and Gokarna because of its beautiful backwaters and ayurveda spa centers.

Good piece of information. I have been to beaches in Goa, really they wonderful. Good scenic beaches.

Reading articles like this remind me of how much I HAVEN'T done in life (and, that I want to do)....yesterday was the first time I've even actually been to an Indian restaurant and I REALLY liked it....
