By Edited Apr 9, 2014 3 8

You fight like a girl!  If someone says something like that to you, it could easily be a compliment if you are anything like these women.

There is a growing movement in women’s combat sports.  MMA and boxing are both realizing the potential of the female divisions and working to get them up and off the ground.  As a result, some of the most beautiful women in the world have taken to this new career path.  When you also take a look at some of the ladies of other sports, you quickly find many girls that have the looks and the brawn to enchant you….or kick your butt.  The list below represents some of those girls.

Kyra Gracie is from the family widely considered to be the true founders of modern Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and she is also a grappling world champion.  On top of all this, she is also very well-versed in Judo and amateur wrestling.  When she does make her MMA debut, you can safely assume she will carry the torch of the legendary Gracie name.

Lail Ali - Highlights of Knockouts and Vicious Punches

Laila Ali is the daughter of arguably the greatest boxer of all time - Muhammad Ali.  She happens to be the best female boxer of all time, sporting a professional record of 24-0 with 21 wins by knockout.  You might be a tough guy, but this beautiful woman would knock your head clean off your shoulders.  Even though she retired from boxing over five years ago, she is the measuring stick for the sport of female boxing.

Beth Phoenix - Stunning, Strong, Dangerous

She's a professional wrestler in the WWE.  Now, before anyone starts in and says she's not a real athlete; save your breath.  This woman is beyond strong and athletic.  She's educated, holding a degree in Criminal Justice and Public Relations, so she's got the brains to go with the brawn.  Even though she'd kick my rear end, I'd gladly crawl in the ring with this WWE Diva.

Mia St. John - Professional Boxing and Tae Kwon Do Champion

Mia St. John Gets Whipped By Rolanda Andrews But Keeps Getting Up

Hello, Mia St. John!  Besides being a model and businesswoman, St. John is a two time women's boxing world champion and a Tae Kwon Do champion.  You might think it would be fun to get in the ring with the beautiful girl, but rest assured, she would beat you up.  Believe it or not, this picture was taken when St. John was in her early forties.  Oh my!

Aneta Florczyk Destroying A Frying Pan With Bare Hands

Aneta Florczyk is recognized as the strongest woman in the world.  She has won multiple 'World's Strongest' competitions during her career.  She sure cleans up nicely though.  I'm a fairly strong guy, a little above average I'd guess for my height and weight, but this woman would snap me in half like a twig if she wanted to.

Based on Ryan's article about how to take things viral you definitely look like you've got all the components here.

Good luck!

I've never had anything go viral, so I really want to see if I can do it. If nothing else, it was a fun article to write.

I don't think I would ever system that WWE fighters aren't proper athletes. Sure, it may be faked, but you can't fake that sort of stuff without risking serious injury unless you really know what you are doing.

I'm with you. The outcome is pre-determined, so pro wrestling isn't a sport, but I still say they are athletes. I cannot imagine doing some of the things they do on a nightly basis.

I agree, prime time wrestling is more entertainment than anything else, but they wrestlers have to be classed as athletes!

Love the article jc! Women are often a little underestimated in the martial arts community. Thanks for bringing awareness to kick-butt athletes.
