To find a good bed bug killer, you must determine the amount of infestation that has occurred. By the name bed bugs you would they only lived in beds. Well, this is not true. They are named this because the bed is where they feed. They will actually live anywhere in your house and will come out to eat just before dawn. This makes getting rid of bed bugs a very hard job.

Bed bugs are known to hide in closet clothes and couch cushions - they prefer warmer areas. The bed bug is about a quarter inch in length and about half that size in width. The body of a bed bug is reddish in color. After a bedbug has fed, you can actually see the blood through its skin. You could say the bed bug was built for sucking human blood. Just before dawn, the bed bug will come out from its hiding spot, crawl into the bed of its victim and search for a place to bite. The bedbug first inserts saliva into the sleeping victim which numbs the area, allowing it to insert its fangs deep into the skin. The insect will then feed on the blood for up to four minutes before moving on. They will often feed multiple times as they move along the skin.

The help of a bed bug killer is often needed to complete bed bugs removal from the living environment. What is of great concern, is that incidents of bed bugs is increasing in America at an alarming rate. It is said that one in ten households may be infested with bed bugs. To get rid of bedbugs, is going to take the efforts of the whole family. Pretty much think spring cleaning on every corner and crack of the house will need to be cleaned.

A bed bug killer cleaner will need to be used to clean all the hard surface of the house. Mattresses and box springs will need to be replaced or a special mattress cover will need to be purchased to keep the bed bugs in which will kill them and also keep them out so they cannot hide in the mattress. Upholstered furniture and any rugs will need to be steam cleaned with a temperature of at least 114 degrees the temperature that will kill bed bugs. All in all, bed bugs really do bite.
