A kids' room is a place of retreat and play. It should reflect the personality and interest of the kid who lives there. Of course, it can be simply a bed, a box of toys and a dresser for clothes. The rest of the room can be easily decorated to reflect the style of the bed. These beds are designed to utilize small spaces since bedrooms other than master bedrooms are usually pretty small these days.

Kids' loft beds allow for play, study, or storage under the bed. They are raised beds on some kind of a sturdy structure that allows living space beneath. Many of the unique kids' beds I mentioned above are built on this kind of structure. If you don't want to spend the extra money for the things that make the beds so original, you can start with the loft bed and create your own design beneath the loft bed. Kids' bunk beds are another space saving option. They are a good choice if siblings have to share a room. The child on the top bunk should be over age 6, for safety. The top bunk should have rails on both sides of the bed that go above the mattress at least 5 inches. A nice feature is that the beds can also be used as twin beds and if the time comes that separate bedrooms are available, you already have beds. You would have to go buy another bed if they had shared a double bed.
