Believe in Yourself: Choose to Succeed

By Edited Nov 13, 2013 4 7

We all have dreams we would like to pursuit. Or goals we would like to carry out; yet, not many dare to step out of their comfort zone to do so. The reason so many people fail at creating their vision is because they do not really know if they can accomplish it. Most individuals, when given the chance between believing they have the resources and capabilities to accomplish a vision or not, they opt for the "safe" path and remove their "childish" dream.

The only way to make visions a reality is by daring to dream them so. Dare to believe in yourself. Dare to put in the work and effort into your vision and you shall soon see them come to be. The only way to overcome the obstacles that will come your way, and there will be obstacles, is by truly believing in yourself and your vision. This means you will give it your all  to every obstacle, every milestone, every day. Do this and you will make of your life whatever it is you want it to be. Invest on yourself. You are the alchemist of your own life!

"Create the highest, grandest vision possible for your life, because you become what you believe"

Oprah Winfrey

Do not let even failure stop you from creating the life you want. You want it? Go and make it happen! You can fail a dozen times, but you only have to be right once to make it happen. All this relates to the "play to be confident" technique that most introverts are preached into using to overcome shyness. Once you act confident, you begin to see yourself as a more confident person, therefore, you become confident. The law of attraction is that powerful. Believe in yourself and your vision, act upon it, and it will become a reality.

"It followed from the special theory of relativity that mass and energy are both but different manifestations of the same thing — a somewhat unfamiliar conception for the average mind"

Albert Einstein

It means that everything in life is made up of the same thing. Everything is energy. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality. That reality will manifest itself because your thoughts are also energy and we also know from Einstein that energy cannot be created nor destroyed, it can only be transferred, so transfer the energy of your thoughts into a material reality. Remember, the smartest investment you can make is to invest in yourself so trade any negative thought you have for a positive one. Create good thoughts that will materialize into the things you want.

Social psychologist Amy Cuddy, in her awesome TED talk about body language[1], shows how "power posing," standing in a posture of confidence, even when we don't feel confident, can affect testosterone and cortisol levels in the brain, and might even have an impact on our chances for success. She talks about how what we think affects our body physically and how the reverse is true. What we do with our body affects our mind. The Law of attraction states that every positive or negative event that happened to you was attracted by you. Your dreams not becoming your greatest achievement was something of your own creation. Similarly is to truly believing in your passion and that you can make it into a reality. I mean, seriously, why would you waste your time thinking negative thoughts or being depressed. If you have the time to do that then you have to time to believe in yourself, invest in yourself, and choose to succeed.

If your still not convince, then try it. What are you so afraid of? Are you that afraid that you can make your life be whatever you want to make of it? I have a challenge for you. For the next six weeks,  use the law of attraction to work on something you really wanted to do but just put it aside for one reason or another. Believe in yourself and that you can do it and see if you don't start to see some progress on your project. Don't forget to comment and let me know how it goes.

Hi Claire,
Thanks for reading. It's like the saying goes, "the first million is always the hardest."
It's like writing a term paper for school. It's hard to sit down to do the work but once you start, things begin to fall into place. Keep learning and working hard and you're dreams will become your greatest achievements :)
