By | 0 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

There has been a frenzy around Ben 10 toys and games for many years now and it does not like it will be diminishing any time soon. If your Ben 10 fan has the must have Omnitrix and alien figures, you may be thinking about what other Ben 10 items there are on offer. In this article I'm going to talk about the three types of Ben 10 games that are available - video games, action games and card games.

Ben 10 Video Games

There are currently two video games available - 'Ben 10 Protector Of Earth' which contains characters from the original cartoon series and 'Alien Force' which follows the sequel of the same name. They are both beat-em up platform games aimed at children aged 5-12 years old. They offer a good mix of game play being easy to pick up and play but challenging enough not to become boring. Children need to put their problem solving skills to the test by choosing the right alien for the task at hand. There is a quality feel to the graphics and transforming from Ben 10 into one of his aliens and using their special powers is fun. There is a co-operative game play option, where two players can play as Ben, each being able to transform into a different alien. They can then both battle the villains. The second Ben can join or leave the game at any point. Another useful feature is that players get to carry on from where they lost all of their lives so they do not have to trawl back to the beginning to start all over again. The only downsides are that there are only 5 aliens to transform into in the first version although this is improved in the second, which has 10 playable characters.

Ben 10 Action Games

There are a few Ben 10 games where players have to battle it out or are involved in active pursuits. The first is the Laser Set. This comprises of two chunky laser guns which two players fire at each other scoring hits on their infrared sensors. The first to score 8 hits wins. This is a great action game for any Ben 10 fan. Secondly is a fast moving marble game called 'Quickshot'. Here players get to blast marbles at each other's pieces that are stuck into a base board. These pieces are cards with Ben 10 Alien Force characters that fly into the air when hit by a marble. This game is easy to set up and very addictive. Lastly is a Pinball game. This looks like your standard pinball game but has Alien Force styling and is easily portable. It is light to carry around and has lights, sounds and a digital counter display.

Ben 10 Card Games

Card games are a good choice for a Ben 10 fan because all three are well thought of. Top Trumps is a well known brand and its Ben 10 set is very popular. All of the popular characters are featured on the attractive cards, and with categories such as Mischief & Mayhem and Freakiness, what Ben 10 fan won't be hooked. The Ben 10 Omnitrix Duel For Power card game is another game where you need the most cards at the end to win. The Omnitrix dial board tells you whether you need a high card or a low card to win the battle. This fast paced game comes in a handy tin for travelling. The Ben 10 Trading Card Game is a collectible card game where you battle using blazing attacks from the Heat Blast card or crushing strength from the Four Arms card. You need a Starter Deck to get going and then you can buy Booster Packs to collect more cards.

There are various other Ben 10 games, such as Total Transformation and the DVD game, but these are not worth wasting your money on. If you want your Ben 10 fan to have more than five minutes of fun with a Ben 10 game, then try one of those mentioned above.
