Which attachments should I get for my DC59?
If you want to improve the cleaning functionality of your Dyson Digital Slim Mark III even further than just the attachments you have been provided (presuming that you received the cordless combination tool & mini motorised turbine) -- then you have multiple options in the DC59 Animal accessories & bundle packages you can buy. Below, is a showcase of some of the very best & most popular accessories that are bought across all three Digital Slims (incl. DC35 & DC44 -- all of which are compatible).
This hard floor cleaner head is pretty much the most popular attachment bought with any Dyson vacuum cleaner (especially the Dyson Digital slim range) and for sound reasoning too -- as it allows you to get into extremely tight spaces & in between furniture, right up against the skirting of rooms & behind any obstacles. As it has a an extremely slim narrow profile, it allows you to pretty much get under any piece of furniture (cabinets to sofas etc.) & it also has an 180 degree swivel to flip over for convenient use. In all, it has a fantastic pick up rate for all types of debris, pet hair & dust across hard floors (use on tiles, wood etc.) -- making much quicker work than the standard cleaner head with the DC59 for hard floors. Besides, over 200 positive ratings can't be wrong.
Another highly rated attachment is the mattress tool -- which as the name details removes microscopic dirt & dust particles from your mattress along with sheets, pillows and other upholstery (it is particularly recommended and useful for those who suffer with allergies & asthma). You will find although it is called a mattress tool this quickly becomes your most used attachment with a DC59 -- as it will soon be apparent that it is great for a whole host of other cleaning jobs too (more like a utility tool), such as picking up pet hair & due to its wide nozzle it effectively (I found) makes the stair tool redundant due to it having a much faster & more effective pick up rate & does effectively everything the stair-tool does anyway.
The Dyson Soft Dusting Brush
This attachment is my personal favourite from the collection (& is again extremely well regarded) -- which is basically a brush tool fitted with ultra fine (yet rather sturdy) nylon bristles which have been angled at a distinct oval like shape to provide a cushioning effect on contact. The brush is basically intended for cleaning very delicate surfaces e.g. televisions, electronics, ornaments, lighting, shelves etc. without the user needing to fear damaging it whilst cleaning (such as scratching, that you could get with a standard cleaning brush) as well as the process being very quick, easy & effective!
A point I would like you to note, which you probably have already realised, is that with all the accessories made with Dyson -- the design & quality carries on from the actual vacuum, making them all look like they belong.
The Dyson Cordless Tool Kit
This is basically an entire cordless vacuum kit (as the name obviously suggests) that comes with the mattress tool & soft dusting brush tool (as mentioned) as well as an extension hose (to provide you with greater reach, particularly for cleaning high ceilings etc.) and the Dyson stubborn dirt brush (a particularly useful tool that can be used to remove mud & dirt that has been ground into your carpet, through performing a flicking motion that pops up the dirt & is then sucked into the vacuum's bin). Usually, because it is a bundle package you get a significant discount, instead of you buying them all separately (but it is worth checking to see on Amazon -- if it comes to a cheaper price & besides you might only fancy one or two of the accessories, so it would essentially save you money).
Let me know which accessories you will buy & why? Also, if you have any questions, comments or concerns regarding either the article 'best DC59 accessories & attachments' or about any of them mentioned above then please do not hesitate to leave them in the comments section just below and we will be sure to get back to you as soon as possible.
Moreover, if you are interested in a particular attachment however are unsure whether they are compatible with the DC59 i.e "can the 'x' accessory be used with the DC59?" then ask away below. The following (popular attachments) aren't compatible: the Dyson Groom Tool, Tangle Free Turbine Tool, Dyson Flatout Head tool, Zorb Cleaning Turbine.
