Buying a Top Rated Dishwasher Under 300 Dollars
The following dishwasher showcase presents some of the best quality & value dishwashers available under a restricted $300 budget -- with each unit having been carefully selected on the basis that they offer several key factors (i.e ticking the boxes) in regards to i) practical, simple & functional cleaning use, ii) offer genuine decent value for money and iii) are generally very well regarded by long time users (i.e owners of the dishwasher unit). So if you are looking for a quality dishwasher at a budget price -- you should hopefully be able to find the ideal model from the following range of dishwashers featured below.
The Countertop (White) Dishwasher By SPT
Rating: 4.5 out of 5 | Dimensions: 21.6 x 19.7 x 17.2 inches | Weight: 48.5 lbs | Warranty: 1 Year
This dishwasher is one of the best rated & best selling units on the market and it is easy to see why -- for the price of around $250 -- you are getting a very decent & durable machine. To give a brief overview, it is energy star certified and is estimated to cost you just $25 a year to run. Moreover, from the size (dimensions given above) it is quite compact (perfect for a small sized kitchen, apartment) and is designed to fit straight in between standard sized kitchen & utility countertops and comes with a 'sleek finish' (with stainless steel interior).
In terms of washing it can deal with up to 6 place settings and water temp that can reach just under 150 degree farenheit and offers easy to use cleaning controls (an auto detergent & rinse dispenser) with six wash cycles (ranging from light to heavy as well as glass, speed & soak). In all, this SPT dishwasher (white version above, silver one below) offers a tonne of value, given such a low price tag -- this is a unit you really should consider (and is probably the model I'd end up buying on a $300 budget) -- certainly worth checking out.
Rating: 3.9 out of 5 | Dimensions: 19.7 x 21.6 x 17.2 inches | Weight: 50 lbs | Warranty: 1 year
Another very decent & popular model is the DDW611WLED model produced by Danby -- that is very economical in terms of power usage (through being Energy Star certified) & limited water consumption (at 3.17 gallons per normal wash). Again it is appropriately sized to fit under standard size kitchen cabinets (i.e a "six place setting capacity") and comes with a range of settings & controls (similar to the SPT model above -- with 6 washing modes, auto detergent and rinse dispenser). I'd recommend this model as being more ideal for a family rather than the SPT model which is probably better off with a shared living situation e.g. couples living together.

The 6 Place Setting Portable (Silver) Dishwasher By EdgeStar
Rating: 4.4 out of 5 | Dimensions: 17.2 x 21.7 x 19.7 inches | Weight: 49.5 lbs | Warranty: 1 year
This stainless steel unit, as you can see is very highly regarded, and offers an array of practical & useful features such as the 'delayed start feature' (so you can set it to wash whilst you are at work), a 'child lock function' (preventing any curious children from interfering with it) and a host of precise & customizable settings through the LED digital control panel (e.g. the six washable cycles, integrated rinser, setting temp up to 149 degrees F). Moreover, it is quoted at using only two hundred kilowatts hour p.a. which is over 60% less than standard dishwashers. In terms of the dishwashing load it holds six place settings -- with plates up to 10.5 inches & cutlery organization basket. In all, a great dishwasher unit, probably ranking as my second favorite model in terms of the value for money aspect (but the best overall model).

The 6 Place Setting Portable Countertop (Black) Dishwasher By Koldfront
Rating: 4.3 out of 5 | Dimensions: 17.2 x 21.7 x 19.7 inches | Weight: 50 lbs | Warranty: 1 year
This compact model is pretty much identical (with all the same specs from the Edgestar) to the model above (instead it is just in black) so just to give you an overview of some additional details: the high-heat dishwashing -- utilizing 3.8 gallons -- allows a highly effective removal of dirt, grime and bacteria from your dishes & cutlery. In terms of noise levels it is around the 55 dB mark -- making it a fair bit quieter than most. You will see that it measures in at around the 17 inch height mark which is the industry standard to fit under kitchen countertops etc. It is also incredibly easy to operate with the control panel compared to standard models, pretty much providing you with a step by step procedure -- you can't go wrong.
