Best Ionizing Tower Fans 2013

By Edited Nov 13, 2013 0 0

What is the Top Rated Tower Fan With an Ionizer?

Below is a range of the best ionizing tower fans that have been selected on the basis of i) that they have a highly sufficient fresh air ionizer component and ii) that they are very well regarded as models that offer great value for their respective price tags (i.e as a tower fan they do everything you expect on should & to a quality standard). So hopefully from the three featured (as being the top rated tower fans with an ionizer on the market), you will come across the ideal model that suits your preferences or at least get a better understanding as to what more you are after from a tower-fan.

The 2551 Wind Curve (platinum) By Lasko

Dimensions: 13 x 13 x 42.5 inches, Weight: 8 pounds, Programmable Shut-off:  7.5 hrs.

Produced by the very reputable manufacturer (for cooling and heating devices) Lasko - is the 2551 model which comes with a remote control: which controls both the oscillation (and of course the fresh air ionizer installed -- to remove smelly odours in the room -- which is commonly praised within reviews as to how well it works) and the three distinct air flow speeds. It is based on a wind curve profile & a programmable oscillation of 90 degrees which allows it to shift a whole lotta air smoothly and evenly distributed across even the 'larger' sized rooms.

It is also pretty darn quiet for a such a large fan too ( although not the quietest tower fan in the world) -- well certainly a lot less noisy than you would expect it to be. Moreover, is pretty well designed and styled (suiting both a professional and domestic environment), being slim and modern esque. In all, for such a low price it does pack a lot of value.

The 1760 (internal oscillation) By Miallegro

Dimensions: 10 x 10 x 45 inches, Weight: 10 pounds, Programmable Shut-off:  8 hrs.

This tower fan is a particularly popular model with those who are after a quality ionizing system within their fan as it utilises a sophisticated & 'elegant' ionizer system that works to purify the air ("dispersing ions that minimize allergens and pollutions, making for a healthier home or work place") in tandem with a cooling air flow circulation that it produces.

Like the Lasko 2551 windcurve it has a 3 air flow speed setting (that has been acoustically engineered to operate at 'whisper quiet levels' all of which  can be controlled (incl. the oscillation) via either its 'head base' or through remote control (particularly useful, if you want a fan unit for the bedroom). Moreover, its slender design and compact ergonomic style & design makes for a highly practical and stylish device to fit in both a home & working environment. Personally, this is easily my favourite ionizing tower fan of the bunch.

The 4820 (48") Xtra Air By Lasko

Dimensions: 13 x 13 x 48 inches, Weight: 7 pounds

Like the windcurve model, this 4820 unit uses the same fresh air ionizer -- that operates on some of the quietest levels of airflow produced from a large fan. Moreover, because it is particularly tall compared to standard models this also makes it more catered towards the larger rooms and can produce a particular powerful and thorough air flow -- so is more than capable of cooling you down even in the hottest months.

It has also been tested and proven to actually save you money over using your air conditioning unit (reducing it by an average of 14%), hence will be able to pay for itself within a given time frame. It utilises many of the features mentioned already with the windcurve such as the remote control, oscillates etc. and comes with the proper certificiations & standards: ETL & cETL. A model that is great for a kitchen, bedroom situation.

Which ionizing tower fan unit will you get and why?
