Best Link Building Services

By | Feb 20, 2012 | 0 Comments | Rating: 0

If you have a website, blog or articles online, chances are you want to build more links to it by utilizing good link building services. This is just the way things work. The only way to get ahead with websites is to build links. Simple enough, right?

After all, even though, the best method is "organic" link building via good content, who is really going to share the content if you are writing articles about the best toilet cleaners.  Not very many people. So quality content is an absolute necessity, but some form of link building is also essential.

The problem is that thousands, perhaps even hundreds of thousands of people are trying to do the same thing. This can make competition fierce. Just sitting back and writing good stuff and waiting for the links to appear is simply not enough. You need to be proactive with link building…but not so proactive that you set of any alarms and bring the wrath of Google Panda.

I will make a couple of assumptions for this article:

1. I will assume that you have a basic knowledge of SEO

2. I will assume you understand the importance of original content on your site

3. I will assume you write decent quality material

4. I will assume that your writing is relative quality

5. I will assume you do things like commenting and basic social media practices

***All of these things should really be taken care of long before you even worry about link building services. Link Building is the icing on the cake.  You need to meet basic requirements before even worrying about the volume of people headed to your site, blog or article

 {Yes, I do have a favorite Link Building Service. To find out more about it check this Build My Rank Review.}

Important Link Building Factors

Now…let’s take a moment to discuss Google Panda.

In case you don’t know, Google Panda was an update that will penalize a site or post for a number of things. In a nutshell they are things that affect the “quality” of an article or site. Here are a few of the things that could cause a Panda “hit”

1. Unnatural link profile

2. Too many advertisements

3. Duplicate content

4. Spun content

5. High bounce rate

6. Too much of the same anchor text in links

***The point here is that these are the things you should be avoiding in link building services.

If you have too many of these issues either on your site… or on the sites linking to you site it can cause you more harm than good.

Next, let’s take a moment to discuss link wheels

***At the top of this article you can see a very basic example of a “link wheel” I made***

A link wheel is a common tactic that is used to get the most “link juice” to your money site. The idea is to use good “WEB 2.0” sites (like Hubpages/Squidoo/ezinearticles/Infobarrel etc.) to link to your money website and each other. This way you get a larger variety of links, and hopefully begin to drive up the value of these links also.

I call these links “Tier 2 links”.

The way I see it ONLY these decent quality links should link to your page. Many of the link building services you will find may be good…but they still could cause issues, so if you link them to these “Tier 2” links, you will increase the value of those links with less danger to your “money site”.

But the idea of “buffering” your money site is something that each person will have to decide for themselves if it is necessary.

Now for the Link Building Services

By no means have I tried all of the link building services out there. But I have run tests on quite a few. Everyone on this list I have tried. The ones that I talk about in this article, are at least good enough to be worth mentioning. There are some that frankly make me ashamed to even talk about in a negative light…they are that bad. They will do nothing but HURT your efforts.

So here are some of the link building services worth talking about:

(Notice I do not use affiliate links here. So I am not trying to simply get you to sign up for these to make a quick buck)

SEMRUSH: This is not a link building service, “per se” but it is worth mentioning. It shows you all the details you need to know what YOUR links are, what your competitors links are and therefore what you need to do to go up in rank. A great way to spy on the competition and in some cases find where they are linking fro and do the same.

SENuke: Some people swear by this system. Others dismiss it as junk. It automates the process of link building with blasting links to a host of social networks. In my opinion most of these are junk.. but they do have ”some” value. The thing I would stress is to NEVER use this to link to your main site. This could perhaps be a good option to link to the 2nd tier articles and pass “link juice” to them that will ultimately be passed to the main site. But it is too dangerous to link directly to your own website, in my opinion.

The next three systems are similar in basic concept, with different particulars and pricing. It is my opinion that these really are the best options around today. But they are not free, not automated and take some work to make them worthwhile.

The idea behind these is simple. They all buy a host of blogs and websites. They make sure that the content you put on these sites is unique. So the sites you link from have no ads, unique content, varied anchor text and come from multiple sites and blogs from across the world.

LinkVana: I have nothing bad to say about Linkvana except cost. It works. But it does the same thing as the next entry, except it costs more.

Build My Rank: the “articles” you have to write for Build My Rank are short. Only 150 words per link. You could do quite a few of these in a few hours’ time. But they are serious about quality. It doesn’t have to be Shakespeare, but any obvious errors and the articles will be rejected.

I have played around with quite a few of link building methods and this one really shocks me how well it works. I really can’t say enough about Build My Rank.

Just to have something negative to say… It does have a monthly fee (for me…worth it!!) and you do have to write your own (or outsource) 150 word posts…and a lot of them to make it really worthwhile.

Blog Blueprint: Blog Blueprint works like the other two but DOES allow spun content. On one hand this lowers the value of the links IMO. But it also means you can work on other things and still get some value.

What I do is use Blog Blueprint to link ONLY to second tier posts with well spun articles and then Build My rank as my main link building service. It works for me…but may be too expensive for many. But if you can afford it, it is a great way to make your link building really cook!

{As my final BMR push, let me mention that you can get 10 links for free there. So test it out yourself}

Unique Article Wizard : UAW used to be one of the “darlings” of link building services before Panda. These days it means many of the problems that can cause issues. If Panda does not “smack you” it can be effective, but in my opinion it is simply not worth the risk. Specifically not at the high monthly cost.

The idea is you write three versions of an article, which are then woven into the main text. This will equal a couple unique versions, but really require more spinning to make it really unique.

UAW then sends the article out to hundreds of blogs, where different versions might be posted. UAW does NOT control these blogs. You can ensure that almost all of these blogs are low quality and filled with ads.

SO UAW is something that could perhaps be useful for tier 2…but there is a better alternative.

 {Build My Rank Vs. Unique Article Wizard comparison}

Article Marketing Robot: AMR has all the same problems of UAW, except for the cost. It works a “little” differently and you have to do a little bit more for yourself, rather than having it controlled by the site monitors. But ultimately you do the same thing that is done with UAW with AMR. Except rather than a monthly fee, AMR only has a one time fee.

Again, I would say this should only be considered for “tier 2” sites. But it is a better choice than UAW in my opinion.

Niche Spider and SocialAdr: These the final two that rate a mention. Both fall into an odd category.  I have not noticed any ill effects, and they –may- have helped sites rank in my short tests of these sites, but ultimately I do not think they were worth either the time or effort involved.

Perhaps one of the people who swear by these systems could explain to me why some people are so keen on them. I don’t get it.

Fiverr: This is not a link building service. It is a service to get just about anything done for $5 a pop. But it is a good test bed. Rather than buying programs for a test run, you can pay five bucks and get a test run through someone else's copy. Fiverr is also useful for things like BMR. You can task 5-6 of the 150 word articles for the 5$ fee.

Why pay money for link building services when you can get it for free.

I use link building services. I think they can be worthwhile. But you may notice I keep talking about Tier 2 links. There are a ton of good web 2.0 properties that are free.

Anyone just getting started link building should focus on building a collection of these free links first.

What sites are these you ask?

Well almost to many to list. This site is one. Squidoo is another favorite.

Best Reviewer and TipDrop are two lesser known ones that do not take much writing to get your links.

There are probably over 500 of sites. I suggest you make your own list of them like Steve Scott has done with this list of high PR back-linking sites.

Finally there are ways to get paid for your backlinks. Squidoo and Hubpages (this site) both have ways to get paid for what you write (and get links at the same time).

So does Yahoo Contributer Network (now known as Yahoo Voices) and a site called Infobarrel . (which is ..well the site this article is written on) With these sites, backlinks are secondary, the point is always to write great stuff and only provide links when they clarify the topic. The money is in the work her...not the links)

{Check out my article about making money on infobarrel}.

Is that it for link building services?

Of course not.

Social media (Twitter , G+ and Facebook, etc.) should be a major piece of the pie.

Blog commenting should certainly be something you devote some time to with regularity.

Social Networking sites like Digg and StumbleUpon play a part in building a good link profile.

Basically you will want a little bit of everything to make your site seem, “natural” in the eyes of Google. Link building services can help, but old fashioned elbow grease will still be required if you really want to rank your sites and articles to rank well on Google.

Oh let me make a final mention. There is one service I am playing with. I can’t give it a thumbs up or down yet, but it could be worth checking out since it is free: Social Monkee. This could be an importsant part of being efficient with the social networking piece of the puzzle.

Getting backlinks from multiple sites with ease is the way to go.  I use Social Adder.  You cannot beat these links for quality and ease of use.

Besides ease of Automation and Social Adder why not additionally get extra social bookmarking from sites that pay out (from 60% to 90% Google Adsense revenue payout)

Check out:

Why not make your backlinks and social bookmarks pay you rather than the other way around.
