Best Nikon SLR Digital Camera

Nikon is one of the leading producers of cameras on the market, and it comes as no surprise that with the release of their new models, there are always a few that make the list of must haves for those that have a passion for photography. With that being said, for the 2012 year, there are two models that are gaining tons of attention. These are the Nikon P7000 10.1 MP Digital Camera and the Nikon D800 36.3 MP CMOS FX-Format Digital SLR Camera. Both of these are great cameras for any beginner and professional that is out there.

The Nikon P7000 camera is making the best of Nikon simply because it has the small compact design that makes it easy to carry places and allows a person to have a sturdy camera that they can use at any time. It is reasonably priced at just under four hundred dollars, which is a great price for a Nikon brand camera. The picture quality of this camera is most often compared to what a person would get with a DSLR, which says a lot considering that this camera is much lighter and smaller. Those that get this will find that there are automatic settings and manual settings that can be made. The green setting on the camera is great for a beginner as they begin to learn what settings will lend to having better pictures. The time in which the picture is snapped is rather fast for a smaller camera, which is a huge plus for those that are taking pictures with speed and want to ensure that they are going to be quality pictures. All in all, the Nikon P7000 is one of the best cameras that Nikon has produced for many years and gets rave reviews from those that try this.

For those that want a camera that is going to blow them away, then the Nikon D800 is going to be the camera that you have always wanted. The D800 is a professional photographer’s dream camera and has in fact been given several awards based on how well this camera performs. The total cost for the body of the camera without accessories is around three thousand dollars. This may be a bit steep for a beginner; however, this is not a camera for a beginner. The settings are manual which means that a person must know what they are aiming for in order to get outstanding pictures. However, once the settings are known and adjusted, the picture quality of the D800 is simply astounding. The person will find that this will give them a better picture quality than most any other camera that is out there.
