Visit The Air Force Flight Test Center at Edwards Air Force Base
The Air Force Flight Center is the center of excellence for research, development and test and evaluation for aerospace systems for the United States. The center aims to influence the design of weapon systems to make sure they meet the requirements for operational war fighting, combat support and training. The center also operates the United States Air Force Test Pilot School and the Edwards Flight Test Range takes up 20,000 square miles of airspace.
Experience the Sights of Joe Davies Heritage Airpark
At the Joe Davies Heritage Airpark, visitors can view a collection of aircrafts flown, designed, tested and produced at the United States Air Force Plant 42 in Palmdale. Currently there are 14 retired military aircrafts on display and a 1/8 scale model of the B-2 Spirit and an AGM-28 Hound Dog Missile. This family friendly aircraft institution shows off the abundance in aerospace history and heritage in the area.
