Big Bear

If you're an outdoors kind of person (and especially if you like the snow) Big Bear Lake, located just two hours east of Los Angeles, could be the perfect California getaway spot for you. Big Bear is at an altitude of 7000 feet and a climate that is completely different from the surrounding desert. Pine forests and snow-capped mountains is what you'll find at Big Bear. Camping and cabin lodgings are plentiful and people enjoy skiing, snowboarding, sledding, and cross-country snowshoeing as well as mountain climbing, fishing and various water sports in the summer.

San Diego
San Diego is the southernmost city in California, and it's famous for its magnificent beaches and great surf as well as for the fact that it gets pretty much perfect weather year-round. San Diego is located on the border with Mexico and many of the tourist that go to San Diego spend some of their vacation visiting Mexico. Other San Diego attractions include the Sea World and Legoland theme parks, the San Diego Maritime Museum, the Wild Animal Park, and also the great nightlife. San Diego has great hotels, dance clubs, restaurants, bars and live music venues.

Yosemite National Park is another great place for nature lovers. It is one of the most beautiful nature reserves in the country, with stunningly beautiful vistas and acres of breathtaking sequoia forests, streams, waterfalls and lakes. It's a good idea to go in the off-season, when there aren't as many tourists, so you can really enjoy the peace and serenity that Yosemite can offer.

San Francisco is a dynamic, multi-cultural and historic city, full of amazing museums, hotels and host to a lively night scene.
