By Edited Jul 28, 2015 0 0

What is the Top Rated Rowing Machine Under $1000

If you are looking to get a quality rowing machine for under 1000 dollars for home use, then you have come to the right place -- a showcase guide to the top 3 rowing machines within the one thousand dollar budget, that have all been selected on the pure basis on how i) well they perform as actual rowing machines, ii) the warranty, backing and coverage placed on them, iii) how well regarded they are by long term users and iv) finally -- each has been picked on the back of offering the best possible value for the money. So hopefully, you will come across the ideal rower machine model for you (hosting specific features that you are after, offers the right 'feel' etc.).

The Model D Indoor Rowing Machine (w/PM3) By Concept2

Dimensions Foot Print: 9 x 4 ft | Weight: 57 lbs | Rating: 98% | Colour: Black/Silver

To start with my personal favorite & what I recommend (along with many, many others) as being 'the' best rowing machine under $1000 -- the Model D from Concept2, which as you will soon see, really is a fantastic in door rowing machine (and you shouldn't be to surprised to find out that the Model D is the i) best selling rower machine "in the world" and ii) the best rated & you will probably know the Concept2 brand is like the Rolls Royce of the rowing equipment world -- pure quality).

It is designed purely with the intention of giving you an optimal cardiovascular workout, simulating the movements you would make 'actually' rowing. The Model D is in actual fact the exact same machine used by Olympic and other elite athletes who row crew -- so is engineered to take heavy duty use and Concept2 ensure it will last a 'life time' (see more details on its 'build specifications' e.g. max user weight: 500 lbs etc.). It also offers efficient storage use -- through a quick-release frame-lock to split the rower in two 'easy storage' pieces (with wheels attached so you can simply roll them away).

The model D is also installed with a PM3 (performance monitor) that will detail all your relevant, accurate diagnostics (how far you have gone, how fast, how long, heart rate etc.) -- with the monitor being adjustable to where you want it positioned. A particular highlight is its 'flywheel' & 'damper' to allow for full control, smoothness and potent resistance at all times, with which you can adjust the stroke feel to your preference (as well as it being practically silent in operation). You can even get an additional water simulation attachment as well as it being able to connect with other Concept2 models for 'team training'. For me, this is easily 'hands down' the rowing device I would buy -- and is at the absolute least worth checking out.

Warranty Details: 5 year frame warranty.

The ProRower RX-750 Home Series By H20 Fitness

Dimensions: 78 x 22 x 20 inches | Weight: 65 lbs | Rating: 86% | Color: Silver |

Another very decent professional grade rowing machine well under the 1000 dollar budget is the RX-750 model, which incorporates a pretty unique and cool looking design -- with the fitted polycarbonate water tank exposed (see image below) & this with the 'paddle system' allows the user to 'imitate' an actual rowing experience (hence the water acts as the natural resistance).

Also, with its hydro-power drive system you can get an extremely effective cardio work out  (for a higher resistance, row faster - for a softer resistance, row slower) -- but what makes the RX-750 particularly special is how accommodating it is for 'beginners' right up to the fitness enthusiasts. Moreover,  it is fitted with a read-out panel detailing all your important information (work outs etc.) along with ergonomically incorporated designs (handlebars, seats etc.). In all, a very sleek, professional rowing machine at a slightly more affordable price -- can't really ask for much more?

Warranty Details: Lifetime Frame Warranty, 3 years on the tank, 2 years on components.

The A1 Home Rowing Machine By WaterRower

Dimensions: 84 x 22 x 21 inches | Weight: 117 lbs | Rating: 96% | Color: Ashwood |

Although, not as popular as the other two models -- this is a rowing machine that should certainly not be underestimated. Firstly, as you can see from the image -- it is beautifully designed & hand-crafted ("with ashwood treated in Danish oil") - allowing it to really 'add' an extra pinache to a room, rather than make it uglier (like most exercise equipment). But, it ain't just a pretty rowing machine -- it offers you a very decent work out too, being smooth (and remarkably quiet). Like the other models it comes with a monitor LCD panel detailing all your relevant workout info - so you can mark the progress you are making. For those, who are design conscious in their homes, but are wanting an effective workout machine -- then this waterower has got to be for you (it is worth just seeing, for its elegance).

Warranty Details: 5 years on the frame, 3 years on parts & components.

But, which machine will you buy and why?

Note: we do recommend that you try a model out that you are interested in (either at a gym or a fitness equipment provider) before full on purchase.

Also, if you have any queries, concerns or general remarks regarding either the overview of the best rowing machines under 1000 dollars or about any of the rowing machines specifically mentioned above (or about just owning a rowing-machine in general) then please do not hesitate to make them in the comments section that you will find just below and we will be sure to get back to you as soon as possible.
