What are the Top Rated Rower Machines for Obese People?
Back in the early days, I unfortunately learned the hard way -- that some fitness equipment really isn't meant for everyone -- and ended up making a bit of a fool of myself. So I wanted to create this account overview of the best rowing machines that are meant for the heavier population, being specifically manufactured for heavy duty exercise & being catered with extra large seating, added padding etc. (as well as of course excelling in offering you a decent rowing work out). You will hence, hopefully come across the ideal model for you to slim down and get fit with (and don't have to worry about it breaking) -- or at least get a better idea and understanding of what specific features you are after with a rowing machine for indoor use.

Moreover, the rower is fitted with an LCD monitor detailing all the relevant diagnostics such as: time, distance, calories burned, strokes committed per 60 seconds etc. It also come with extra large & padded seats, ergonomic hand grip bar as well as a fitted foot rest with 'locked' in straps. In all, this rowing machine is bound to serve you well -- built to last and offer you an optimal rowing workout, that will prove key to weight loss.
The ProRower RX-750 Home Series Rowing Machie By H20 Fitness
Dimensions: 78 x 20 x 22 inches | Warranty Information: Lifetime frame warranty, three years on the tank, two years on components | Rating: 4.3 out of 5 stars (86%)|
This commercial standard rowing machine (built specifically for home use) is unique as it uses a polcarbonate water tank (as you can see below) and a hydro-power drive system to actually mimic the very effects of 'real-life' rowing (so to alter the "natural adaptive" resistance, it is just dependent on how fast you are rowing -- i) you want a high resistance, row fast -- ii) a smooth resitance, row slower. Pretty clever & looks cool too.

It is installed with an 'oversized' display system that provides you with all your relevant rowing information (speed, distance, calories burned etc. -- it also tracks your heart rate) & work outs. The frame is also foldable & actually comes to less than 20 x 21 inches if you are to store it upright, in a cupboard perhaps (so space conscious too). As you can see, this model is a rather innovative machine and is very well regarded by users -- certainly worth a look at, if you are serious about getting fit &/or training.
The Model D Indoor Rowing Machine (w. PM3) By Concept2
Dimensions: 25 x 33 x 54 inches | Warranty Information: 5 Years on the frame | Rating: 4.9 out of 5 stars (98%)|
For me, this machine is the 'ultimate' -- what I regard as being hands down 'the' best rowing machine for heavy people and is the very machine (black) what I used relentlessly for days on end to shed the pounds -- and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who is looking to lose some serious weight & just generally feel a whole lot better about themselves. It really, doesn't get better than this -- as I'm sure if it is good enough for Olympians, it is good enough for the rest of us (just check its rating, no other rowing machine is loved as much as this).

As I am sure you are aware, Concept2 is like the Rolls Royce, the Rolex of the rowing machine world -- they are known for their quality & durability -- and the model D is their best selling model. It offers you an optimal cardio work out and a great base to get toned. It offers a range of quality features such as the advanced performance monitor (PM3) providing you with accurate data, flywheel damper to mimic actual rowing effects and keeping the entire operation practically silent, a low profile (making it easy to get on and off), adjustable aspects -- foot rests, seat (suitable for short & tall people). It really, doesn't get much better than this. If you are really unsure as to what rowing machine to get, I pretty much guarantee that you will have no regrets with this.
But which rower will you buy and why?
