Friends. This show was a comedy that followed six friends in New York City. It had a ten year run from 1994-2004. People from all over the world wanted to sit in a coffee shop with Phoebe, Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, & Joey. Friends is a sitcom that actually makes people laugh.

I Love Lucy. This show starred the married couple Lucille Ball
& Desi Arnaz. It ran from 1951 to 1960. Lucy is always getting herself into awkward, but hilarious situations. On any list of the best tv shows, this usually comes up in the top five. You can't help but laugh at it.

Mash. Who would've thought that war was funny? MASH was one of the best tv shows ever that was based on the movie. It focuses on the Korean war & was on tv from 1972-1983. MASH showed how people cope with the horrors of battle. The acronym stands for Mobile Army Surgical Hospital.

Seinfeld was a show about nothing. It stars comedian Jerry Seinfeld. The earlier episodes started & ended with one of his on stage monologues. It lasted from 1989-1998. It launched such phrases as yadda yadda & the soup nazi.

Sex & the City. It seemed like people everywhere fell in love with Carrie Bradshaw, the advice columnist with a shoe fetish. Time will only tell if this will be considered as one of the best tv shows ever.

The Simpsons. Bart, Lisa, Homer, Marge & Maggie all help make this one of the best tv shows around. It's still on the air & has been since 1989 on the Fox network.
