One of the most annoying things that can happen to you and your family is that you discover you cannot use the toilet. That is so hard when you have to ask the neighbors or go to the nearest McDonalds. When you have a block septic system and you don’t know what to do, the best thing is to call a plumber to get you out of your worries. That said, you will have to be willing to pay the price if you are trying to get help at night and over the weekend. One of the main problems that a lot of people don’t realize is when they use toilet papers for their septic system. This is one of the reasons why you can get it blocked and you have to spend over a $100 just to be able to go to the toilet again.

The best toilet paper for septic systems is not to use one. That can sound disgusting but what do you think people in the past use to do before the advent of toilet papers? They use water after going to the toilet. In some Arab states, it is still common to have a water hose beside the toilet so that you can use either paper or water. If you are thinking that it is unhygienic, you are wrong because not washing your hands after using the toilet is one of the main reasons why people spread bacteria. If you feel you cannot deal with using water to clean up after using their toilet and avoid problems in your septic system, you can use recycled toilet paper. Because they are less resistant, they will easily dissolve and not block up your toilet.

It can be said that any toilet paper that is recycled will be the best toilet paper for septic systems. You should avoid the luxury soft paper that are said to be soft on your behind but very strong. It is true that these papers are softer but they might not be adequate if you have a badly designed toilet system with smaller tubes, you can easily clog up your drainage by using the more resistant paper.

Another thing that can give you problem is when you use too much toilet paper as if your behind is not clean enough. That can be an issue and there is no need to use more than 3 to 4 fold of toilet paper twice. Others get themselves in trouble by throwing paper used for drying their hands into the toilet. This will go down but might no dissolve quickly and can lead to drains blockage. If you run out of toilet paper, you should resist the urge of using tissues to wipe your behind. If you have to, at least make sure it doesn’t end up in the septic system.

The best toilet paper for septic systems is the least comfortable to use but for those who experience regular blockage; it is the best way to reduce your plumbing cost. If all fails, you can still use water and it is probably the cheapest albeit a little unusual. If you give it a try, you will soon get used to it and might not feel the need to buy more toilet papers. That said, your guest might not understand your choice and might bring along theirs.
