Best Tongue Scraper (Benefits of Tongue Scraping)

By Edited Sep 12, 2016 1 0

If you could add just one small step to your daily dental hygiene routine that would make your breath fresher, teeth cleaner, and improve your overall health - would you?  What if I told you that the extra step only takes about 10 seconds?

The process I am referring to is tongue scraping.  This small act can drastically improve the quality of your mouth.

Here is some information about what I have found to be the best tongue scraper available, the BreathRx.

I have used quite a few of the products available, but the BreathRx model is miles beyond the rest.  It is very simple to use.  Just take one end in each hand, curve the "blade", then scrape your tongue.  My favorite feature about this particular scraper is that it really gets your entire tongue for maximum cleansing.  Other models with fixed surfaces only can reach the most highly elevated parts in the middle of your tongue.  The BreathRx is very flexible, so it can contour itself to you while getting the middle and sides of your tongue.

Another positive feature is that this specific scraper does not make me gag like every single other one that I have tried.  Some people have no problems with gagging, however, I have a terrible gag reflex and the BreathRx gives me no issues.

Including this act into your daily regimen can be very beneficial.  The amount of bacteria that builds on your tongue is astounding.  Go ahead and look inside your mouth now.  There is probably a filmy coating on your tongue.  That is bacteria that can cause bad breath, gingivitis, and prevent your teeth from staying white by aiding plaque to build up.

It is wise to change your tongue scraper regularly (more often than your toothbrush) because the plastic can harbor nasty germs.  The BreathRx Tongue Scraper is fairly inexpensive and can really change the overall health of your mouth.
