The second reason that you want the bedding option is that it means that you are crawling into a warm bed. Even with the heat turned up, your bed will be cold if you do not get at least a couple of these items.

Flannel Sheets

The first place that most people think about adding to the warmth when they are sleeping are flannel sheets. Flannel sheet sets can be purchased in a wide variety of sizes including ones to fit cribs. The degree of softness from brand to brand will vary. This will depend on how much brushing from a special metal comb the final product got.

Heated Mattress Pad

If you just want to flip and a switch and your mattress becomes instantly warm, you need to get yourself a heated mattress pad. They are very easy to use and can usually be set to several different temperatures. This will ensure that you are kept warm without being baked while you sleep. Once you get yours home, all you have to do is to slip the heated mattress pad on your mattress and then put on your regular fitted sheet and you are all set to go.

Heated Blankets

When you are looking at this bedding option, you have many different choices to make. One of the best things that you can choose to get is one of the heated blankets that has dual temperature controls. This will make one side of the bed one temp and the other a different temperature. This is great for couples that do not share the same desire to be warm when sleeping.

You can also get some great heated throw blankets, if you are not looking for something to cover your entire bed. These are great because they can be moved around the house with you to help to keep you warm.

Down Comforter

If you have every crawled under the comforting warmth and weight of a down comforter then you know that this is a winter bedding must have. This is the way that people have been staying warm for ages when sleeping and there is a good reason for this.

Having a chill as you lay in bed trying to fall asleep is not going to make for a good night's sleep. You are going to want to make sure to pick up at least a couple of these winter bedding items to make sure that you are warm and comfy to sleep through the longer nights that winter brings us.
