By Edited Jul 12, 2016 0 0

You may have probably heard of wireless charging pads before. These devices have grown in popularity in recent years and it is understandable why. People choose to use a wireless charging pad to keep their electronic devices such as smartphones, digital cameras and electronic readers fully charged without having to individually plug it to chargers. This will help you to become more organized as you will no longer clutter your desk with wires - you simply have to place your gadgets on the mat and it will automatically charge it.

How does it work? Charger pads feature electro-magnetic induction charging. Through this procedure, you will be able to charge your devices simply by attaching it at the back plate of the wireless charging pad. In a nutshell, the charger pads work by generating a magnetic field on top of the mat so that you will not have to plug it to the charger itself.

Powermat Wireless Charging Pad

One of the brands that has been associated with wireless charger pads is Powermat 2x. Perhaps the first thing that will strike you about the Powermat charger pad is its design. It looks quite modern and stylish and it is something that will definitely catch the attention of consumers. As its name suggests, you will be able to charge two devices at one on the Powermat. You will hear a chirping sound to let you know that you placed the device on the right spot. It takes about three and a half hours for your gadget to be fully charged. Its price starts at $80.

Another brand of wireless charging pad that you should consider getting is Pure Solutions WildCharge Pad. This is ideal for people who have a lot of devices as it can charge up to five different gadgets at once. Unlike other charging pads, you can put the device anywhere on the pad for it to start charging. It takes about 4 hours to fully charge smartphones. You can get the Pure Solutions WildCharge Pad for $50.

Energizer Qi on the other hand charges up to three devices at once. Its light turns on to indicate that you have placed your device on the right spot on your charger pad and this is a feature that other wireless charging pads do not have. The downside to it though is that it only works with a limited number of mobile phones. It does, however, come with a USB port so that you can charge an extra device. Fully charging your devices will take up to 4 hours. Its price is a little bit higher at $90.
