Birthday Invitation Etiquette Simplified

By Edited Jan 25, 2014 0 0

Few people tend to give proper importance to birthday invitation etiquette. In fact it is one of the most important aspects of a birthday and can either make it or break it.

There are many problems and logistics involved with sending birthday cards and it is one of the toughest parts of the main birthday party.

However, most people believe that it is an easy task and do not give it the importance it deserves.

As you read further you will understand the true values of a proper birthday invitation. You should keep in mind that time is of the essence in such tasks.

First of all, you need to select the proper birthday card and this selection depends a lot on the age of the person whose birthday party is going to be celebrated.

One will opt in for a relatively cute card if the birthday boy or girl is young when compared to cards for teenagers.

The card should reflect the mood of the person whose birthday is being celebrated. Once this task is over, the text of the card has to be composed and then printed.

Though there are ready made cards with printed invitations, they do not have that same personal touch as the printed ones.

Once the printing stage is over, one has to affix the name and address labels on the envelope and stuff the cards on them.

After that, one has to mail out the cards. In the good old days, people used to personally visit their neighbors and deliver the card by hand, but this trend seems to have been replaced.

People rely more on the postal department. It is recommended that cards to relatives who stay in other cities be sent first.

They need time to prepare themselves for the journey to your place. The details of the function should also be explained clearly on the card.

If you are hosting the party somewhere else, the address of that place should be clearly mentioned with a route map including nearby landmarks.

Birthday invitation to close relatives should preferably be conveyed via a telephonic chat.
