Avoid harsh skin care products. Skin care products can dry out the skin and provide little to no results. You should instead focus on exfoliating the skin with deep pore cleansers that aren't as harsh on the skin. Avoid using greasy moisturizers as this to can block pores and cause blackheads.
Avoid Certain foods. You may be wondering how eating certain things can ultimately cause blackheads, but the answer is more simple than you think. Sebum is produced by an embalance of hormones from dairy, sugar, fried foods, chocolate and spicy foods. You should avoid these foods and drink plenty of water.
Exfoliate. The main reason blackheads occur is due to small fragments of skin and other debris blocking the pores. This adds up and ultimately leads to a blackhead. You can prevent this by exfoliating the skin daily with a mild cleanser. Follow up with a light moisturizer that is alcohol free.
Pore strips. A pore cleansing strip is similar to a piece of tape but it gets deep into the root of the problem and literally pulls the blackhead up. You will need to use these strips in combination with skin scrubs and moisturizers. You should read the directions and use the strips properly for exactly the amount of time given on the directions.
Facial steamers. If you are looking to open up the pores and get to the cause of your blackheads, a facial steam might be key. Facial steamers are machines that pore steam out and the skin absorbs the steam and opens up the pores. The skin more effectively and you should wash your face with a mild cleanser after using the facial steamer.
