BladesUSA Throwing Knife Set 8-Inch Ricky Sadie 2015-04-09 4.5 0 5

I ordered these BladesUSA Throwing Knives in July of 2014 from Amazon and have used them for about 20+ hours worth of throwing. They are a set of three knives that includes a nylon sheath. Now keep in mind, I am by no means an expert knife thrower, but I have spent a decent amount of time honing my skills. Now let’s get down to the nitty gritty, shall we?

Quick description: The knives come in a three-piece set. Each knife is 8 inches, tip to end. They are made from stainless steel and includes a nylon sheath with a velcro strap. A spider image is printed on each handle.

Who might want this: Beginner to intermediate-level knife throwers or someone who might want an affordable knife set to try-out.

Personal experience: These BladesUSA Throwing Knives are good quality for the price. They are well-balanced and can be thrown with a variety of throwing styles. The stainless steel will likely chip if you hit anything that's too hard (try not to throw around any large rocks). I managed to chip the tip off of one of my knives by doing just that. I found the spider print to be a little cheesy, but overall, it didn't make a big difference to me. You can also get the set in a black finish, but I opted for the silver as they are easier to find in the dirt. The knives didn't come too sharp which is a good thing, as a sharp blade on a throwing knife is bound to cut you. Only three to a set in fairly normal, but I found that having at least five knives to throw at a time is nice, as you won't need to walk back to your target as often. This is especially handy if you are new to the hobby. The nylon sheath feels a little bit flimsy, but it certainly gets the job done with slots for the knives, a velcro strap to secure them, and a belt loop. I found that even with the velcro loop secured onto the knife handles, they still wiggled a little bit and can even slip half-way out. They don't fall all the way out, however.
