The Bloody Mary is a fantastic drink that is traditionally served with brunch, but is a delicious drink that can be enjoyed at any time of day. Some say it is a cure for hangovers, The exact history of the drink is unknown, with some claiming Fernand Petoit invented it in New York City, where Petoit was bartending at The New York Bar (now known as Harry's). 

Others speculate that it was named after Queen Mary I, coinciding with the urban legend 'Bloody Mary'. Others say it was named after a bartender named Mary who worked at a bar in Chicago. Regardless of the origins, there are many different ways to enjoy this drink and numerous recipes available.

Here is a recipe for the most amazing bloody mary you will ever have. This recipe can be made with out without alcohol. 

The Best Bloody Mary Recipe

To make 1 drink:

1 1/2 Ounces Citrus Flavored Vodka (SKYY Citrus, Absolut Citron, Ketel One Citron)

1/2 Cup Plain Tomato Juice

2 Teaspoons fresh Lime Juice

1/4 Teaspoon Fresh Grated Horseradish

Pinch of Celery Salt

Pinch of Cayenne Pepper

1/2 Teaspoon Fresh Ground Black Pepper

1/2 Teaspoon Soy Sauce

Dash of Olive Brine (Olive Juice)

You may shake all the ingredients together in a coctail  shaker like the Premium Cocktail Shaker Set - 24 oz Stainless Steel , however do not use a strainer. The drink may also be stirred. Whichever way you prefer. 

If you would like you may salt the rim (dip the rim of the glass in lime juice, and using a seperate plate covered in salt, then softly dip the rim of the glass into the salt untill it is completely covered). Garnishes for bloody mary's include celery stalks, limes, lemons, and green olives. Choose whichever garnish you prefer or choose them all!
