The Breville 800 CPXL Die Cast Stainless Steel Motorized Citrus Press is a specially designed home based electric citrus juicer that performs like the professional units used in the juice shops. I don't think I would have bought this for $219 but since it came as a gift for Christmas, I am enjoying every moment with this. This is no doubt a high-end juicer and you might argue that there is no point is spending so much on a citrus machine because after all it only squeezes out juice.
Some of you might feel that it does the same job as a traditional press or lime squeezer and it is madness to spend a fortune on the Breville when you get tools that serves the purpose for as little as $10. But the beauty of this powerful press is that it makes delicious fresh tasty juice without any hint of bitterness or rind and it takes less than a minute to make 8 ounce of juice. The clear juice does not contain any amount of skin, peel, seeds and fibers. Moreover you have the privilege to adjust the type of two filters provided in the box to alter the amount of pulp in the drink. Above all this is fully motorized and all you have to do is to just cut the fruit into half and place it over the cone. That means you don't have to strain the hands and use all your might to extract juice.
The three main features that makes the Breville Motorized Citrus Press incomparable and user friendly is the soft rubber arm lever that can be gently pressed, the spinning wheel that gets into action once the sensors gets activated by the hand movements on the lever and the juicer cone with unique Quadra Fin technology that work simultaneously to extract the maximum amount of juice preserving the natural goodness, taste and flavor. This one juicer can handle any of the citrus fruits including lime, lemon, orange, tangerine and grapefruit without even changing the cone. Fruit fits perfectly in between the top spinner and the cone at the base.
Stainless steel filters are detachable for easy cleaning and a small brush can be used to dislodge any of the dried pulp or fibers. To prevent any overflow of juice, the stainless steel stopper can be pulled. It is a sight to watch the cute and mighty Breville 800 CPXL Die Cast Stainless Steel Motorized Citrus Press in action. I can't really think of any flaws and if you sit back and dig, then you might say that its cone is kind of small for large grapefruits and at times orange skin gets sucked into the spinner and you have to pull it out. Also, the cord could have been made a bit longer.
