Build a Network Marketing Business the Sane Way
Have you been approached by a family member, friend, or stranger about a network marketing business in a way that is both unprofessional and annoying? As someone building a network marketing business I am a past culprit, and I was punished accordingly by my calls being screened. I have also been on the other end of this, and cringe just as much when it happens to me. If you are not getting any results with what you are doing, it's time to do some critical thinking.
"The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
-Albert Einstein
To begin or grow a network marketing business such as Monavie or Xowii you need to be confident in your company's credibility, timing, product, compensation, and leadership. If you are not confident in any of those areas, you need to have your questions answered to your satisfaction immediately or you need to move on. Once you have those questions answered here are some tips for when you are talking to people about your network business opportunity:
Don't do the robot: While the robot dance may be funny, the robot reading a script hard to stomach. A ton of network marketing businesses use scripts to help distributors keep on message, there is nothing worse than your best friend talking to you like they are C-3PO. It's not that hard to make a script your own, or make the exact same point with your own words. Sorry for the brutal Star Wars reference.
Be direct: Don't beat around the bush, or make small talk for an hour before you make your pitch. The small talk is not going to change their answer. Don't be vague, if you want to sit down with them to talk about a network marketing business opportunity, a new product, or possibly getting some referrals make it crystal clear. Do not invite them to Starbucks to catch up and then bust out a 100 page Power Point.
Don't be too pushy: If a prospect says they do not have the time or the money to invest up front, says they are not interested, and this is the third time you have talked to them just move on to the next person. It's good to be persistent, but going overboard is counter-productive.
Take control of the conversation: Listening and asking proper questions will go a long way. Nobody wants to listen to you blabber on for 20 minutes. You can take a conversation exactly where you want it with the right question.
Get closure: Get a definite yes or no as soon as possible. If the answer is no, don't sweat it. You just saved the both of you wasted time.
Those are just a few general rules I follow when I am talking to prospects whether in a hot, warm or cold market. If you like this article you may like, check out Common Network Marketing Mistakes.
