Building Muscle Mass Fast
If you want to start building muscle mass fast, there are a few very important things that you need to know first. The most important aspect of building muscle is your diet plan, it doesn't matter how many hours you spend in the gym each day and how much weight you lift. All the time you invest in the gym will of been for nothing if you are not eating the right foods. A good muscle building diet should consist of 35% protein, 45% carbohydrates and 20% fat.
So if for example you are on a 4000 calorie a day muscle building diet. This will be 350 grams of protein, 450 grams of carbohydrates and 100 grams of fat. Eating 350 grams of protein in solid food every day can't be a bit of a pain and quite expensive. The easiest and quickest way round it is by supplementing your diet plan with whey protein powders. Whey protein is one of the highest quality types of proteins that you can get and will really help to repair those damaged muscles and help them to grow.
Once you have sorted out your diet plan, its how time to work on your muscle building workouts. You must train heavy and train each set to failure if you want to start building muscle mass fast. Try to increase the weights you lift by around 5% each week. By doing this your muscles will have no other option but to grow bigger. A very important thing to do before you start your workout is to have a pre workout shake 15 to 30 minutes before you start your workout. This shake should consist of simple carbohydrates and your favorite best tasting whey protein. You should also sip another shake during your workout and then an other one immediately after finishing your workout.
To make sure that most of the weight that you gain is mostly lean muscle mass. Try to do two 20 minute high intensity interval training workouts each week. High intensity cardio training will really help to keep your body fat levels under control as you are building muscle mass and bulking up. Please remember though, some of the weight that you gain is likely to be fat. So if you are carrying quite a bit of body fat, it may be wise to start a fat loss plan before you start building lean muscle mass.
