Once they reach a certain age, children like to have some degree of independence especially when it comes to their bedroom and sleeping arrangements. After all, this is their personal space, the only space they have to call their own. In some households, it is possible to give children their own room once they reach a certain age but in other households, space restrictions do not allow this. That means two or more siblings may have to share a room and that can cause some tension. This is where the bunk bed comes in. For some reason, children love bunk beds! I know I did when I was growing up but I never had one. My friend and her sister had one and I loved playing at their house because we could climb up and down on the bunk bed. It may be because it offers a degree of privacy and kids love to climb on things!
