Burial Service

When someone crosses over form the world of the living to the land of the afterlife, he or she leaves memory, a special set of events comprising a lifetime - a legacy. Legacies are preserved in the minds of people, particularly loved ones, and what better way to preserve such moments than by leaving a lasting impression. Burial service comes as that lasting impression. The ceremony appears as the good ending to a person's lifetime.

What is Burial?

Burial service is the rite in which the dead is solemnly presented to loved ones, and then laid to rest six feet beneath the ground or any surface, depending on the community's beliefs. Burial is often tied to religion. Prayer service is offered before the dead is formally cast into the designated resting place. Once the final prayers have been offered, the dead is then buried for eternity. The rites may differ from country to country, more specifically spiritual beliefs.

Burial Service for Different Beliefs

Burial service for a community, country, or religious belief is not the same for others. The only universal thing about the practice is the reverence given to the dearly departed. It could come as a simple church service or a grand burial at sea service. Over the years, the rites have also evolved, eventually influencing the ones that we currently recognize, even cremation. Here are several examples of different types of burial service:

· Christian Burial Service - For Christians, burial is a solemn ritual aimed at honoring the deceased party. It starts with cleaning and dressing the corpse, then placing it in a coffin. The coffin is placed in a church for a few days, so friends, relatives, and loved ones could offer their final words and prayers. After being presented, the corpse is then brought to the cemetery where the celebrant offers the final prayers while the relatives give their last offerings. The casket is finally lowered and laid to rest six feet beneath he earth.

· Anglican Burial Service - Anglican burial service is one of the world's most dramatic burial rites. Prayers are first offered at the church, where the dead is presented, in coffin, for a few days. It is then hauled to a ship, in which the prayer service is continued. At a certain point of the sea, the vessel is stopped. The corpse, now wrapped in cloth, is tied to two cannonballs, and then dropped to the sea's depths. Final prayers are then offered by everyone as the dead is being slid off the ship.

· English Burial Service - Currently, English burials are the same with the standard Christian rites recognized worldwide, but before, the practice is quite distinct. The dead is, first, placed at a venue of worship, to be presented to friends and loved ones. After the final prayers have been said, the body is placed at an upside down position then buried to the ground.

· Cremation Service - In the process of cremation, the body is cleaned and then placed in a furnace, where it will gradually turn into ashes. The ashes will then be stored in an urn of the family/loved one's choosing. When the urn is presented, prayers are then offered. The service resumes whenever the deceased party celebrates his or her birthday, death anniversary, and other occasions deemed special by the corpse's loved ones.

In other countries, old rituals, such as placing the dead in jars or leaving them in caves, are still practiced. The practices are not short providing enough reverence and respect for the dead, regardless of the differences.

Burial Casket and Urn

An american castket store will provide the designated place of rest for the dead, catering to a couple of beliefs surrounding the burial - Christian burials and cremation. A large variety of the caskets for sale and urns are provided, differing in sizes, shapes, and decorative patterns. Funeral homes and cemeteries host quite a number of these stores, so finding the right casket or urn for your dearly departed shouldn't be a problem. Just make sure you have allocated some cash for the purchase or creation of the container, since most of them are expensive.

Burial Insurance

Given the total expenses of burial services, a lot of people find it hard to come up with enough cash to shoulder the costs, without emptying their budgets. Insurance companies present a way out of burial expenses with a burial insurance policy. If the deceased party is insured, the insurance company shoulders all the burial expenses, including the dead's outstanding balances and financial protection for the personal and business assets. Availing of a reasonable insurance policy is as easy as logging on to the internet and checking out several insurance websites.

Continuing a Legacy

No matter which belief or community you belong in, providing the proper burial service is the best way for you to pay homage to the dearly departed. Your deceased loved ones will appreciate all your efforts in the afterlife as you proceed with a solemn service. Your job, at this point, is to make sure you live out his or her legacy.
