Buying a Carpet Shampooer

By Edited Oct 16, 2016 1 2

Buying a carpet shampooer and cleaning your carpets properly is a job that a lot of people don't want to do or can't find the motivation to make time to do it. This is when they will call in the professional carpet cleaner to do the job for them.
But is it really that much of a hassle that we should pay someone else to do it? I don't think so, most people will move the furniture themselves and will be in the house while the work is being done, sometimes even watching. So what's stopping you watching someone else doing it and saving yourself some money and doing it yourself? The answer is nothing.

If you look around online there are many online stores selling carpet shampooers and carpet shampoo solutions. The cost of buying these will most likely be the equivalent of getting your carpet cleaned by a professional once. Therefore using your brand new carpet cleaning machine will start to save you money in no time.

Just by looking at the online reviews you can find many of these carpet shampoo machines with good solid review from people who have purchased and used them. You will also see that you don't need to buy the biggest, baddest and most expensive carpet shampooer to get your carpets looking as good as new.

There are various places online where people will actually do a video review showing them using a carpet cleaning machine and the results. This is great as seeing the results before you go out and buy the product will defiantly make purchasing the item easier.

The two major players in making these machines are: Hoover and Bissell, both have many different products and seem to get more positive review than negative. The price range varies but both have cheaper and expensive options available, depending on the specifications.

One of the most popular models is the Hoover F5914-900 SteamVac with Clean Surge which you can pick up at $149.00. It has many happy customers who are delighted with the job the machine does.

As well as buying a carpet shampooer it's important to buy the right kind of carpet shampoo. There are many different ones available therefore a little research is needed.
Hoover produces numerous different shampoo solutions for your carpet but there are many others to choose from. Some deep clean better, reduce allergens more effectively or deal with pet odor smells better than others. It may take a little trial to find out the best carpet shampoo for you but once you find the right one your carpets will be all the better for it.

With your new carpet shampooer and sparkling carpet shampoo you should look to clean your carpets at least once a year or more if needed and have your carpets looking newer and fresher for longer.

I have always shampooed my own carpets. A few weeks ago I bought a new Vax carpet cleaner for a bargain price.

when I lived with my Dad, I was sort of obsessed with shampooing the carpet with his shampooer vacuum. It really is easy and so much fun. SO CHEAP! one whole jug of cleaner costs like $10-$20 if I can remember AND you don't use much of it at one time! Comparing that to professional services, you're looking at $60.00+++ depending on how many rooms, and asking for a discount and so forth. Oh, and if you're lucky and you live in an apartment or something of that sort rent-wise, you should go by your apartment manager's office and ask if he/she has a specific Professional Carpet Cleaning service that cleans the carpets in your community. If so, ask her if that service gives discounts through her. I had a pretty good sized 2 bed 2 bath apartment before I moved 2 hours away and could have EVERY ROOM in the apartment cleaned professionally for $60.00 just because of my apartment manager used a service to clean carpets before new tenants moved in and while theyre there.
