I prefer studying from home on your own terms. I also have taken 2 years of Cisco Classes in high school, but many of the students who graduated from the class didn't move on to take their Cisco Certification Exam. I myself had to study for two weeks after the class was out before I got my certification.

What I'm trying to say is that even an expensive course is not going to guarantee that you are going to get certified. It largely will depend on you and how dedicated you are to studying on your own terms. And since so much largely depends on yourself, I would much rather spend that money that I would have spent on a class to own my own Cisco equipment, or not even spend the money!
