CCTV Surveillance Cameras - Advantages and Disadvantages
Schools, department stores, convenience shops, offices, etc., are just a few of the establishments that use camera surveillance systems for security. These effective systems are generally used as tools for preventing robbery and shoplifting and other crimes of opportunity. If you take notice, most public places these days are already surrounded with CCTV surveillance cameras, and for a good reason. They are currently one of the most cost effective means to prevent and prosecute crime. Private businesses, public malls and even government offices are using such tracking devices. Now you might be wondering whether you should install one in your house or office as well. Before making a decision, consider the following:
- privacy on the part of employees is a major issue for business installation. Most of the time, employees are against any change that increases their supervision. The employer can use the recorded videos to help solve the problem. This situation is just one example of problems that can be resolved with an official recording system in place. There are many more situations that can be settled with the use of a security camera.
Simply put, use camera surveillance systems are really helpful in preventing crimes. But it is also important to understand some of the drawbacks and other positives.
