There are special perks in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 that you can use for your character while playing. Each perk gives a different special ability to your character that can help while playing. You can only have 3 perks active and there are different groups that perks are in so you are unable to choose certain perks with certain others. Some perks can be upgraded by completing certain challenges in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. You can change your character's perks on the Create a Class menu in the pregame lobby. Here is a list with description of all of the perks in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.

Marathon - For the first tier of this perk you will have unlimited sprint while playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. The second tier of this perk gives you the unlimited sprint but also allows your player to get over obstacles faster. This perk is great for running away from situations or getting to a better hiding spot faster.

Sleight of Hand - The Sleight of Hand perk in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 gives your player much faster reload times. If upgraded, Sleight of Hand also allows your character to aim down sights faster. This is great when you are using a weapon that has a slow reload time or if you are a close quarters kind of player. Being able to aim down sights faster helps because you do not have to wait as long to scope in when you see an enemy player.

Scavenger - The Scavenger perk in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 allows players to retrieve ammo from dead bodies. This is great for players who use a lot of ammo or use up their equipment quickly each time they spawn. Being able to pick up ammo off of dead bodies makes it to where you do not have to switch weapons because you will most likely not run out of ammo.

Bling - Bling gives characters the opportunity to use 2 attachments on their primary weapon and if upgraded, 2 on their secondary weapon as well. This is a great perk to use once you have unlocked some good attachments for guns that you like to use in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.

One Man Army - This perk allows players to switch classes in game without having to wait for a respawn. This can help if you find a good sniper spot but do not have the sniper to kill a long distance enemy or if you are in a close quarters area and need to switch weapons. There are many different benefits to this perk in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.

Stopping Power - This perk increases bullet damage and when upgraded, increases bullet damage to cars and Killstreak vehicles. This is a good perk to use because you will be able to kill enemies much faster with bullets that do more damage. This is a wonderful perk for snipers because they can do more damage from far away.

Lightweight - The Lightweight perk allows players to move faster. This will help you get to better locations faster at the start of the game and can also help with objective based games like capture the flag. Moving faster will give you a great advantage over other players in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.

Hardline - This perk reduces the amount of kills you need for Killstreaks by 1. When upgraded, this perk also reduces the amount of deaths you need for Deathstreaks. This is one of my favorite perks because you can get huge amounts of points much faster by reducing the number of kills you need for Killstreaks.

Cold Blooded - This perk makes your character undetectable by UAV, air support, sentries, and thermal. This can help many different classes in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 but the most beneficial class is the sniper because he can hide without being detected by any type of radar.

Danger Close - Danger Close gives characters increased exlosive weapon damage. This is great for characters that use any type of explosives like the rocket launcher. Having a larger explosive damage can give you the edge over your enemy and also help you get multi kills in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.

Commando - This perk gives players increased melee distance and if upgraded, no fall damage. This can help players that use their knife a lot because the increased melee distance can make or break any close quarters combat encounter.

Steady Aim - Steady aim gives players better hip-fire accuracy. This perk can help players that do not use the down scope aim that much but for players that always aim with the scope, this perk is somewhat useless.

Scrambler - This perk jams enemy radars when you are nearby. This makes it to where your enemy cannot see where you are but they also know that someone is near them because their radar will be scrambled.

Ninja - This perk makes players invisible to enemy heartbeat sensors and if upgraded, makes your character move silently. This is a great perk to use if you want to be somewhat stealthy in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.

SitRep - This perk reveals enemy tactical insertions and explosives. This perk helps when you are playing against enemies that are using different types of mines and explosives.

Last Stand - The Last Stand perk in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 allows players to lie on the ground after they have been killed for up to 10 seconds to get a last chance to kill their enemy with their pistol. If upgraded, you can use grenades and equipment as well as the pistol while you are lying on the ground.

All of these perks will come in handy in different situations. Figure out which perks work best for you while playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. You can unlock the upgraded versions of different perks by completing the challenges that have been set in place for each one. You can check on your progress for each challenge in the Barracks. Choose which perks work out best for you and have fun playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.
