Several people dream with one day showing up at work and giving them a two-week notice. One of the ways they can see that happening is by starting their online business which will make them rich. The problem with that plan is that most people will not really make a lot of money online; in fact some people will make no money at all while trying to start their own business on the internet. Sure you have heard of a lot of online systems which promise to make you millions, but the truth is that most of them will leave you a few hundred dollars poorer and not the other way around.
So before you decide to tell your boss that you’ve had it, here are a few things you should think about before you quit.
Is It Possible?
The first question you should ask is on the possibility of making a good living through an online business. The fact is that it is possible to make a good living through an online venture, but it is also possible that you will win the lottery. That does not mean that you should not try, but it also means that you should not expect to become an internet millionaire with a blog. If the question is “Is it possible?” then the answer is yes. If the question is “will it happen?” the answer is more than likely no.
What About The “Make Money Quick” Systems?
The truth about all the “make money quickly” systems is that they are mostly scams. Some programs have a certain level of truth to them, but the people in the commercials or testimonials are just actors. If you want to know if a plan is a scam or not simply type the name of the plan and the word “scam” after it. Then look for reliable news sources and not just blogs. Scam programs will build their own review websites to get you to believe that they legit when they are not. If you find a lot of information on non-reliable websites then the program is probably a scam.
What Can Actually Make Me Money
There are several ways of making money with your home computer, but they all need at least some time. You can create your own blogs and include advertisement in them. You can also sell arts and crafts or things that you already own. Another possibility is to buy things from thrift stores which you think have some value and selling them online for a profit. There is affiliate marketing where you would get money when someone purchases a product you advertise on a website and you can also write for other well established websites as well. All of those things can make you money, and it is better if you do all of them.
How Many Blogs Do I Need?
The number of blogs that you publish depends on how much money you want to make and how much time you actually have. Blogs are time-consuming, but the more blogs you have the better results you will get. You do not have to spend a dime in your blogs because you can get them for free from sites like Blogger and WordPress. You put some pay-per-click advertisements in there from Ad Sense, Chitika or other pay-per-click sources and when someone visits and clicks on the ads you make a little money. The secret is to have as many blogs as possible and to spread the word about them.
Don’t Quit Your Day Job… Yet
Your online venture is just starting and while there is a small chance that you will become an instant hit, at the beginning usually you will only see a few dollars. It takes a lot of time and patience to start making money online. Usually that means that you will have to wait at least a year to start seeing any money worth talking about. The good news is that a lot of the things that you do on day one instantly become sources of residual income. When you have a lot of those things going at the same time that is when you can become independent and see enough to quit. The best thing that you can do is to wait until you have the income coming in to make it ok to leave your job.
Also remember that once you have the time off and you are your own boss, you should still work on your blogs, selling and writing. When you work hard you get to see the best income results. You will probably not become a millionaire from your online work, but you could be making enough to live a happy life doing something that you love and answering only to yourself.
