Sometimes taking a day off of your workout program can do more good than harm. Can sleeping in, and skipping the gym actually help you lose weight?

The most important thing to remember when beginning an intense exercise program is the need for progression. Starting off on a roll can be great for motivation but you risk burning out faster as well as potential injury.

Remember that you want to make these goals a reality and to do so you will have to be consistent. Instead of jumping out of the gates fast and not finishing the race, I would recommend that you space it out a little bit. Keep your workouts to 4 or 5 days a week and I guarantee that the extra rest will ensure your efficiency in the gym and keep you committed for the long-term!
