What Is Candida Depression?

The most common symptom of Candida depression is due to the effect the Candida, a yeast infection, has on the body. Candida Albicans is the medical term given to yeast that grows naturally and is meant to be in the body. When things go well all the various microorganisms live in perfect harmony in the human body. However, when things don’t go well, because something has upset the happy balance, the yeast organism starts to multiply and ends up taking over the healthy microorganisms.  The result can be Candida and depression along with other symptoms.

Candida is generally found generally in the mouth, throat, intestines and genitals. What can happen is the candida yeast feeds on the intestinal tract until it makes holes in the tract and seeps into the blood stream. From here it travels to the different organs emitting over 70 types of toxins as it journeys along. Yeast can cause a number of health problems that gives rise to various diseases. One of the symptoms of this problem is candida depression.

When the Candida reaches the liver, it prevents the liver from performing its normal function of detoxifying the blood in the body. When this happens the blood begins to carry higher toxic levels. Depression is considered an abnormality of the brain though there really isn’t anything wrong with the brain. It is all the toxins floating around in the blood that feed the symptom of depression.

Most main stream doctors sadly fail to recognize the link between Candida and depression when the patient consults with a doctor. To be fair, the symptoms of Candida change daily and this can cause difficulty in diagnosing the real problem. Men and women can suffer from this problem and women generally get a vaginal yeast infection called vaginal Thrush.

The reason why the right diagnosis is difficult is due to the huge list of symptoms that Candida exhibits and the number of body parts involved. Beginning with candida depression, the symptoms include abdominal pain, flatulence, indigestion, craving for alcohol, weight loss, migraines, fatigue, brain fog, stress, anxiety, mood swings, hyperactivity, vaginal yeast infection, diarrhea, constipation, red itchy eyes, craving for sweets, poor concentration, anal itching, rashes, eczema, sinus, joint pains, dizziness, difficulty remembering stuff, persistent cough, muscular weakness, learning difficulties, sensitivity to fragrances, sore throat, oral thrush, hair loss, chronic pain, acid reflux and cognitive impairment.

Treatment for Candida And Depression

There are several different causes for Candida and depression, but the infection and subsequent yeast depression from the yeast overgrowth is generally attributed to two main causes – excessive use of antibiotics and a diet high in sugar and other refined foods. It is important to stop all antibiotics once the problem is diagnosed. It is equally important to make a complete change in diet to cut out all foods rich in sugar and other refined foods. Candida can be treated by your doctor and natural candida treatment methods are available as well.
