Cannot Lose Weight- 4 Top Reasons
There are a number of reasons why you cannot lose weight. However, we are sticking to the top 4. It's rarely due to some medical condition, so let's get that out of the way. Actually, the reasons are fairly simple and easy to overcome if one puts their mind to it.
1. The first reason you cannot lose weight is that you have not made it a priority. To do anything that is a challenge you must make it a priority. You may know someone who has just found out that they have a serious health problem due to being over weight. This could be diabetes or any number of health issues. It's amazing how fast weight loss becomes a priority when it has to become a priority if you catch my drift.
2. Reason number two for why you cannot lose weight is you eat too much. Wow! You mean to say I have to eat less to lose weight? Yes, it is shocking news, but it's true. While this is common sense it needs to be said as a reminder that what you eat will show up as fat. You will not be able to hide the fact that you over eat.
3. Reason number 3 for why you cannot lose weight is you don't exercise and are possibly a couch potato. Here we go again with the common sense thing, but once again it must be said. These are the top reasons folks! So, bear with me it is what it is. These are statistics and not made up reasons. Hang in there and I will give you some tips in the end on how to lose the weight you cannot lose.
4. Reason number 4 for why you cannot lose weight is that you were programmed by your parents when they did not teach you how and what to eat to stay at a healthy weight. That's right; the parents do not get off the hook. It is the environment we grow up in that is supposed to teach us what and how to eat. This may not be true for you, but it is for many of us who were not taught this at an early age. Bad habits are hard to break!
While you have not lost weight and kept it off until now there is always hope. The best tip I can give is to start doing something no matter how small. Then build on small doable goals. For example, eat 1500 calories two days a week; drink only water with meals 3 days a week, walk 20 minutes 3 days a week etc.
Once you realize that you can do it then you can increase and add more days and exercise more minutes by adding 5 minutes a week. Many people try to do too much at once and fail. Also, you need to lose weight slowly not fast. When you lose weight fast it hardly ever stays off. It must be a lifestyle change.
