Sail away from all your troubles and worries on a Carnival Cruise Sensation vacation.

Carnival Cruise Sensation

When life, work, and/or school just get to be ‘too much,’ and you need a quick vacation, embark on a Carnival Cruise Sensation sailing.

Job stress is a major problem for many people. According to an article on stress in the workplace, by ‘The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health,’ on the website for the ‘Centers for Disease Control and Prevention:'

“Three-fourths of employees believe the worker has more on-the-job stress than a generation ago.” --- Princeton Survey Research Associates

A quick vacation can relieve your stress and recharge your batteries. And if your job isn’t one that allows you much time away from the office, then a three or four day Carnival Cruise Sensation sailing is the perfect fix for what ails you. After your total escape on a Carnival Cruise Sensation mini-vacation, you’ll return to your job or school relaxed, invigorated, and eager to excel in your work, despite its headaches.

The Carnival Cruise Sensation sails from Port Canaveral, Florida, doing three and four day cruises to the Bahamas. If you’re driving yourself to this embarkation port, there’re parking facilities (There’s a charge.) in which to leave your vehicle. If you’re traveling by air, then you’ll fly into Orlando, Florida, which is about an hour away from Port Canaveral. When you book your Carnival Cruise Sensation vacation, you can purchase transportation vouchers to carry you from Orlando International Airport to Port Canaveral on embarkation day and back to Orlando International Airport on debarkation day.

Tell me more about visiting the Bahamas on a Carnival Cruise Sensation sailing.

According to Wikipedia: “The Bahamas, officially the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, is a country consisting of 29 islands, 661 cays, and 2,387 islets (rocks).”

Below is an example of a three day Bahamas itinerary on the Carnival Cruise Sensation:

Thursday, Departs Port Canaveral, Florida at 4:00 pm

Friday, Arrives Nassau, Bahamas at 12:00 pm

Saturday, Departs Nassau, Bahamas at 6:00 am

Saturday, Sea Day

Sunday, Arrives Port Canaveral, Florida at 7:00 am

Nassau, located on the island of New Providence, is the capital of the Bahamas, and as you can see from the chart above, you’ll be docked there overnight. That gives you plenty of time to explore this vibrant port. My recommendations: check out the famous ‘Atlantis Paradise Island Resort’ (You know…you’ve seen it in films and in television shows.) and the renowned ‘Straw Market.’ Be prepared to shop and haggle over the prices.

While on your Carnival Cruise Sensation adventure, previous to docking in Nassau, members of the cruising staff will brief you on the port, and they’ll make recommendations of ship sponsored tours you may want to take. Ship sponsored tours do cost, in addition to the cruising fare you’ve already paid. But my experience with these tours has been positive. When I’ve never visited a particular place, I enjoy the safety these group tours provide.

Another advantage of these tours, as opposed to doing your own thing, is the tour operators’ relationship with the ship. Because these tours are ship sponsored, crewmembers remain in touch with tour operators. They’re able to ensure that the tour stays on schedule and arrives back to the ship on time, thereby preventing you from missing the ship. If a tour is held up for some reason, the ship is then able to wait for those passengers to return before sailing.

Still want to head out on your own? Safety and security is your top priority, wherever you travel, home or abroad. Talk to your cruising staff about your ideas before you take off exploring on your own.

Additionally, if you’re a ‘travel and/or history nerd,’ like me, purchase some Bahamian travel guides, read, and learn before your Carnival Cruise Sensation trip.

A four day Bahamas itinerary, aboard the Carnival Cruise Sensation, looks something like this:

Sunday, Departs Port Canaveral, Florida at 4:00 pm

Monday, Arrives Freeport, Bahamas at 9:00 am, Departs at 5:00 pm

Tuesday, Arrives Nassau, Bahamas at 7:00 am

Wednesday, Departs Nassau, Bahamas at 6:00 am

Wednesday, Sea Day

Thursday, Arrives Port Canaveral, Florida at 7:00 am

As you can see, on this Carnival Cruise Sensation itinerary, you’re still docked overnight in Nassau, but you’re also visiting Freeport. Freeport is located on the island of Grand Bahama.

For this Carnival Cruise Sensation voyage, the same ideas on touring and safety apply to Freeport as they do to Nassau.

While these sailings aboard Carnival Cruise Sensation are only three and four days, I recommend snorkeling in some of the amazing spots the Bahamas has to offer.

A Carnival Cruise Sensation sailing is an awesome first cruising experience.

If you’ve never cruised before (rowboats included), then a three or four day Carnival Cruise Sensation voyage is the perfect starter cruising itinerary. Not only are the trips, themselves, shorter, but also, the cruising fare for these smaller sailings are cheaper.

Be warned, though, you’ll LOVE cruising, and it’s known to become very addictive! Soon, your three or four day Carnival Cruise Sensation sailing won’t be enough. You’ll crave more…five days…six days…seven days…two weeks…. Soon, you’ll be dreaming of the one hundred plus—mother of them all—a world wide cruising voyage!

Don’t forget to check out Port Canaveral, before or after your Carnival Cruise Sensation vacation.

If you don’t have much ‘land time’ for touring in your embarkation port, and can only visit one attraction, I recommend a guided tour of ‘Kennedy Space Center.’ This place is awesome!

Best of all, have a blast on your Carnival Cruise Sensation sailing, and remember to eat like there’s no tomorrow, because sadly, you’ll soon be back home, standing in the grocery store, wondering what to cook to eat.

*Don’t forget to carry your passport. The itineraries for the Carnival Cruise Sensation could change from time to time, due to weather and other uncontrollable factors.
