Carnosine Food Sources

By | 0 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

One of the most talked about amino acids which our body needs is that of carnosine. Studies show that carnosine can have huge positive effects on our over-all health as human beings. According to research, carnosine has a lot of benefits, ranging from extended health life, to cataract cure. Nowadays, carnosine can even be bought in the form of eye drops to help aid in the healing of cataracts. There are various ways in which we can improve our intake of carnosine. First and foremost, carnosine can be found in a variety of food sources:

1.) Beef
One of the most effective and efficient sources of carnosine is beef. Aside from carnosine, beef also has a lot of health benefits for people. Beef is a very high protein food. In fact, it has one of the highest protein contents among all protein sources. Beef is a very good source of protein, making it one of the best choices if you are on a keto diet. This diet involves eating high protein and high fat foods. Carbohydrates are to be avoided as much as possible. This will allow the body to get out of its normal metabolism routine and enter the stage of ketosis, a process which uses fats in our body to fuel the burning of fat. Just be careful when trying to lose weight this way, because you might have the problem of excess skin if this happens.

2.) Pork
Carnosine can also be found in pork. Just like beef, pork is also very high in protein making it a great choice for high protein diets. In fact, pork can sometimes be better than beef because of the fat composition. In beef, the fats are layered in between the pieces and slices of meat, making it harder to remove pre-cooking, and making it more tempting to eat when served on the dining table for supper. On the other hand, the fat component of pork is more often than not just a single layer of fat above the giant layer of meat. It all depends on self discipline though!

3.) Chicken and other protein sources
The greatest advantage in using chicken as your source of carnosine is that of having mostly lean meat. In fact, chicken is also known as white meat, most especially that which can be found on its breast part.

Remember, carnosine is a very great addition to your diet. Supplementing on carnosine will allow you to have a healthier lifestyle. Aside from these, it can also cure other things such as cataracts, with the use of carnosine eye drops. Truly, this amino acid is one of a kind!
