Cavalier Recalls

By | May 14, 2010 | 0 Comments | Rating: 0

If you are one of the large (but dwindling) number of American's who favor American made cars as opposed to those made by foreign auto giants – such as Toyota – one thing that you should always keep yourself apprised of is the overall safety of your vehicle. That being said, one of Chevy's most popular vehicles, the Cavalier, has found itself on the recall list with some regularity since the 1982 models. Below is a list of later-model Cavalier recalls.

2000 Cavalier Recalls:
L4-144 2.4L DOHC VIN T SFI- only a single recall was done, it was for the Ignition Circuit Defect, in February of '04.

L4-2.2L VIN 4-The same Ignition Circuit Defect recall as above.

Clearly, while American cars – particularly, Chevy's, tend to be well loved by many American's, any car can have a defect that is not noticed until years after it is produced. This is just a reality of depending upon complex machinery for transportation - and expecting new models to hit the market annually. If you are unsure whether or not your car is affected by any of these recalls, you can always check with a licensed dealer or online – regardless of the kind of car you drive.
