Why Cebu is so Popular

There are many things that makes Cebu so unique.  For instance, the food here is unusual, there are mangoes thar are sold either  either whole, in slices or dried.  And then there's Chicharon, which is pork rind, in which many of the tourists are enthralled with.  There's a rice here known as "Puso", which is a hanging rice.  Another popualr food is Dangit, which is a dried fish that is served with breakfast along with budbud, which is another type of rice.

And then there's the souvenirs that one can buy here.  If you love style and fashion, for instance, you can buy local jewelry made from Mactan stone as well as seashells of various kinds.

Ferdinand Magellan, the Spanish explorer, discovered The Phillipines in 1521. Many tourists often begin their tour here by visiting this tourist attraction.  For some, it has a religious significance because it was here that the earliest Filpino Christians were baptized.

This island is the perfect spot to go for those interested in water sports.  So before you leave-if you ever do-make sure you visit Mactan Island as well as Dumaguete, Bohol and Sumilon.
